"Popped in on Bank Holiday Monday early evening for a drink. Sat outside and were probably the only people using the premises at the time. Thought this was due to it being the end of a busy long weekend. Sat outside and was surprised at how uncared for the seating area appeared to be. There were cigarette ends by the 100s everywhere both in the rear yard and at the front of the property also discarded doggie poo bags strewn in a flower pot at the front. Walked past again the following evening and no attempt had been made to clear up from the previous day. Empty crisp packets still littered the tables from the previous day along with the cigarette Stubbs Why would someone go to the effort to open the doors to a place like this when they appear to have little or no reason to care for the outside of the premises . Shame guys as with a little more love and care could be a great place in the village . Please have a clean up."

Excellent food of homemade meat cake is the best I have ever tasted with a good selection of vegetables for dying, they also have a good choice...

This restaurant is thankfully closed. It was poorly managed with a low stock of drinks. It was the worst pub I have ever been to. The incompetent owners ruined it for years.

Good grub, friendly staff but certainly brings in a rowdy crowd lol. There didn’t seem to be any social distancing outside or, at least, the other customers were not adhering to what the pub is asking.

stopped by with some friends..all covid precautions where in place ..excellent table service..lovely bar staff...and landlady and landlord where perfect hosts..Will definitely be calling back again...excellent evening glad to see a pub being run properly..john

I visited this pub last night with friends and found the staff to be polite and friendly, we had to sign in on arrival and the tables were well spaced for social distancing. We received table service which was excellent. We will definitely be visiting again. Thank you

Place always empty. Each time a new temp who does not have a clue how to use tv or anything else. Lots of promises about food that never come true. No food at all. Today what was the limit was having to sit there listening to the latest temp talking to customers about all the violence he had been involved in. Quite how the owners think this place can survive in rich shardlow beggars belief.

Terrible pub. Went in on Christmas Eve and immediately felt uncomfortable. The atmosphere was eerie and quiet, despite the presence of music and TVs. We ordered our first drink three hours before closing and were told to leave by a staff member, sarcastically stating that they deserved a Christmas too. The place was empty and our order was still wrong. The pub was also dirty. Avoid this place at all costs due to the terrible customer service.
