All these years and I didn't know it was there. Coffee is good, eggs benedict with bacon is absolutely fantastic. I now look for excuses to go to Newhaven.

"We called in without a reservation, the restaurant was busy, which we took as a good sign. Fortunately, they were able to seat the three of us. The waitress was very friendly, and as it turned out very efficient. The food was excellent, really delicious. Next time we’re in Newhaven we’ll book to avoid disappointment. Thoroughly recommended."

"There are so many great pubs in this area, I 'd avoid this one. I found the majority of the staff rude and grumpy. The menu is quite small, with limited options. Everything is pretty overpriced in my opinion too. Over £10 for two small pieces of cheese on toast (Welsh rarebit) seems a bit steep to me. Another small and rather pedantic point, but one that irrationally annoyed me, is the fact they call their mussels special moules mariniere . Moules mariniere is served with a white wine based sauce, when in fact the dish they serve has a creme based sauce so more resembles moules a la creme . Just call it mussels and chips or moules frites . If you 're gonna use a fancy name for your dish at least get the name right."

"The service was great and the staff were lovely. They provided helpful advice on how to get back using both walking and public transportation. The breakfast was excellent and beautifully presented. I appreciated that the restaurant is dog-friendly and will bring my pup with me next time, as he was waiting in the truck while I enjoyed my meal. Thank you."

"a good sound. tonight for late Sunday dinner. nice restaurant area, but decided to sit in the pub area. beautiful staff, friendly reception, good service. I had to start the haloumiries with sweet chili dimmer, my partner had the spicy tomato soup. both very nice. then we had the lamb with all circumcisions. great portions. a great pub in denton with outside seat front and a garden back. our first visit and can recommend for drinks and eating. the menu was varied."
