We stopped for fish and chips last night while waiting for our ferry to Dieppe, and I have to say they were probably the best fish and chips I've had for many years 5star highly recommend Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

My Favourite chippy on the coast. Parking is difficult but if you drive to the end of the road there is a massive car park overlooking the English Channel where you can eat your takeaway Mind the seagulls!! Gross Inedible. All overcooked, poor quality, poor service, very slow, limited opening hours. Will not return, regret spending £11 on a meal 'deal ' there. Oh and they forgot to put salt and vinegar on it after asking.. Which I 'm sure you 'll all agree is the worst part of this! I have been coming here since my lovely neighbour told us about it and we both are delighted we did. Tje food is just fantastic so fresh and extremely tasty. The extra spicy curry sauce is amazing matched with wonderful customer service every time. Newhaven is not a place I have ever visited or ever intend to visit again. It's not the nicest seaside towns. Feels a bit rough round the edges. But the best thing about Newhaven is the fish bar. Large flakes of delicious white cod in a crispy batter and a good portion of chips made this chippy well worth a visit! Staff were friendly and price was reasonable. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2

Tried their GF night and it was really great! The fish was well cooked and the 'breading ' was as good or better than the non-gf version! It 's worth a try even if you aren 't gluten free. We were really impressed with the GF curry sauce as well! Dietary restrictions: They do a GF night every 2 weeks, it 's so great. Visited as recommended and for a Monday evening had a steady trade so a promising start. Ordered and was told 10 minutes, my response was as long as it's cooked doesn't matter how long . The fish was thick ,moist and flaky, unfortunately nothing else was good. Batter soft and wet ,chips under cooked,great shame as given the time to cook properly I am certain it would have been very good.
