Booked No.17 Dickens Yard for a party (13th Oct). The venue was fantastic, and the comms in preparation for the party was seamless. On the night, the staff were so helpful and friendly it felt as if they were also our mates, helping out on the day! A huge shoutout to Nina and Joao for their fab work on the night. I hosted my niece's 13th birthday party at this restaurant, and the staff truly exceeded our expectations by expertly accommodating and serving 17 children! The jugs of juice provided were a great value, as was the children's menu, which included two courses. We brought our own birthday cake, and the staff kindly refrigerated it and then presented it at our table while singing "Happy Birthday." I also enjoyed a fantastic halloumi burger. The staff here was the rudest I've ever encountered! The security personnel were unfriendly, the greeter was off-putting, and the young man behind the bar was also rude. However, there was one server who was delightful, and our waiter—whose name I didn’t catch—was tall, friendly, and lacked hair. He truly made the experience enjoyable. The rest of the staff should really improve their customer service skills. While the food was good and the drinks were nice, I’m unsure if I would return because of the unfriendliness of the staff.

The atmosphere is fantastic, and the coffee is excellent. However, I personally find the food quality lacking, especially considering the prices. The fish and chicken dishes are excessively oily, and the brunch options are rather uninspiring. They used to offer an amazing avocado and aubergine lime brunch, but it has now been replaced with avocado and beans, which I find unappealing. The shakshouka lacked flavor, and the Sunday roast was dry. I enjoy the atmosphere here, so I've sampled nearly everything on the menu, but I've mostly been disappointed, given the prices!

Very good first time experience. Very nice comfortable seating, EXCELLENT service, some of the crockery was a bit NAF the type of water jug and glasses you commonly find in an outdated, 3rd world village of Pakistan keeping in mind the cost of eating here. I ordered an egg royale which came with gluten free bed. Unfortunately the toast waswellwell done ? . Actually it was quite burnt and hard. To the extent that cutting it was quite a difficult task. Thus leading me to pick up the toast and try to eat it with my hands. My son ordered a burger which was tasteless. He eventually forced himself to eat it after putting on lots of sauce.
