"What an amazing place to eat. Brilliant food, great atmosphere fantastic choice of fish. There is a wide selection of starters and mains from the menu and the Specials Boards. Staff at the service that the lunchtime is brilliant and so knowledge about the menu and the fish. Paul, Harry and Emily. Paul is very busy, very beaten and has a great sense of humor when you listen. There is also a large wine selection and the staff is easily able to recommend for you if you wish. The food came in good time and was of exceptional quality, both beginners and net. The dessert of the apple crumb was also of high quality. This is a brilliant restaurant with high quality service and exceptional food. So worth a FIVE STAR rating. Do not think that some of the garbage is written somewhere, I understand that we are all different, that is a place you should visit and you will certainly enjoy the quality of your meal. Book on to avoid disappointment. I'll come back in September 2021, next to Torquay. Brilliant Restaurant supports with brilliant service and food and wine to fit choice and quality. Returned again in September 2021 and January 2022 and the food and service was again exceptional. Another visit in May 2022 again is the food and service absolutely top class. Visited the cocktail bar above, which is a beautiful environment to enjoy a view and a beautiful drink or 2 before your meal. This is a must visit restaurant if you like your fish."

Came here on a recommendation and they weren't wrong. Fantastic service and fish was king. It was beautifully cooked and the fish was brought to our table to check it before cooking.

We were late at the A380, but Paul didn't bother us about how we arrived late. The environment was beautiful and the staff was wonderfully attentive. Our food was breathtaking to see and eat. It was all cooked to perfection. We also used the wine bar in the evening and the bar staff were incredible knowledge of all the wines they had in stock.

Unbelievable fish here and very friendly staff. Owner Paul made our experience perfect so we eat up with a window view on Torquay port. Our host, the bar manager was really great and on all our needs with great knowledge about Torquay and surroundings. Fish was fresh and well cooked. Was recommended by a family member and very happy that we visited.

I was very excited to dine at No7. The crab was so good I ended up eating a whole one. The mussels, scallops and prawns in the seafood platter were incredible, I could have drunk the sauce with a straw it was so delicious. Local fresh fish cooked perfectly, can't go wrong. Not a cheap meal but you pay for quality and the skill required to cook fish this well. Just brilliant.

We were delayed on the A380 but Paul did not make us feel uncomfortable about this as we arrived late. The surroundings were beautiful and the staff wonderfully attentive. Our food was stunning both to look at and eat. It was all cooked to perfection. We also took advantage of the wine bar in the evening and the bar staff were incredibly knowledgeable about all the wines they had in stock.. the wine tree tasters were fabulous.

5 stars are simply not enough for these (places). Amazing service from the moment we came to the end. We booked and arrived a bit early, we were taken to the wine bar and then shortly after we were taken to the restaurant, we were served a selection of different fish and was not disappointed! The menu is great, the service was excellent with extremely high standards and the whole team was great! We would recommend and return again!

Second visit and I'll certainly be back for more! Both my partner and I had the Fish Broth to start, and would gladly eat it every day for the rest of our lives. Absolutely delicious and no scrimping on the contents. For my main course I had the skate wings in brown butter and capers, and my partner had The Trio, both superb. What can I say? The food and the service here are excellent, and this is one of our all time favourite restaurants. Well done to Paul and his excellent team. PS. the wine selection is also excellent and reasonably priced.

breathtaking view over the harbour and a fabulous collection of weeps. we had really lucky to get a table because of a cancellation and sat up in the weebar to dinner. the gentleman who worked this area was brilliant and nothing was too much annoyed for him. my partner had the crab and cajau while I had king scallops and lemon sole. both were beautifully cooked. sad, I have to say that the supplement of the sweet was very bad and was not lacking any thought. 2 new kartoffels, 3 tiny chopped pieces of lauch, a little sweethorn and a piece of beet root was all very basic. understandably, the fish was the heart and it was delicious.

"From the off, everything was bang on point. The warmth of the welcome, being taken straight to our table and offered water and an aperitif promptly. We, a party of three, opted for the set lunch, which offers very good value for money. £29.50 for two courses, £35 for three, with two options for each course. Two of us opted for the baked Roscoff onion with pearl barley. Simple ingredients but beautifully cooked with a truly sublime brown onion sauce of such intensity, it lifted an already lovely plate of food to another level. The other person had the ponzu cured mackerel which she pronounced lovely but she had serious food envy over the onion dish. The main courses were grilled hake, which again was sauced to perfection and a grilled bavette with a vegetable medley and a pea? puree and a meat jus. We added a small dish of dauphinois at £5 which complimented everything very well. We drank a good and reasonably priced Rioja Blanco. No room for dessert sadly. This restaurant is not cheap but there is a difference between cost and value and The Elephant offers very good value with the set lunch; it allows you to sample really very good cooking at a price that will not break the bank. The normal a la carte menu is around double the price but on looking at what this offered, I would say that it again offers good value for money, being a step up in choice with more expensive ingredients. This is a serious restaurant. Go there. You will not be disappointed."
