"3 weeks on holiday in the caravan in the Dordogne and a little overnight stop in Le Mans, Yvre L'Eveque campsite, on the way back to Calais. We decided we would see if we could find a nice restaurant after the long drive. Le Boeuf Tient Le Pave certainly did not disappoint. The warmth of the welcome and the smiles of the excellent service team throughout the evening was exceptional (I wish we could say it was characteristic of all the restaurants we had been to this holiday - Sarlat restaurants take note).The menu itself did not offer a great deal of choice but the food was absolutely superb and at 21E was really excellent value. It has a great wine list which is also very reasonable. They make a great pre-dinner G+T by the way. Thoroughly recommended."

"I can say that I have been going there for about 13 years or so , never had any problems, only compliments. Last Saturday was the worse time I've ever spent there. We were greeted by a speedy Gonzales of a chef de salle/service who was extremely disrespectful, unprofessional and out of line/control. When we got there, we prepared our pass sanitaire to show her, she told us that she was going to check it later. SHE NEVER DID thus putting ALL of us in jeopardy. From unpleasantly talking down to people to going as far as throwing the utensils that we asked for on the table. When I had enough of her behavior, I asked to speak with the manager, she stated that she was in charge and to go sit down almost just as if I was her child. I did ask her to NOT return at our table and to let us finish our meal STRESS FREE. At least she respected that and sent us other beautiful souls. All of the other colleagues were excellent and very professional. As we were leaving, she was downstairs, we said goodbye to her and her colleague, she didn't even bother acknowledging us. I called the restaurant this morning, spoke with someone who told me that they were aware and somewhat denied that the allegations ever took place and NEVER even bother to apologize. The reason for this LOW review is to put management on guard to make sure that sanitary rules are there for a reason and a chef de service busy or not should NEVER EVER behave as such. Besides that, the food is and has always been excellent except this behavioral problem."

"Good restaurant, we celebrated our father's birthday. well placed on a very practical round table for a large table. good cake, dishes are good, pleasant and personal smiling. for the price it depends on what you take. just for hot goat salads there is only one hot goat. But we had a good night."

"It's the best Asian restaurant on the mans I think. the card is very complete and offers a large selection of coins. the principle here is quite simple and at the same time different from the buffets at will that you can reconstruct everywhere. here you can comannder as many times as you wish, you will be served at the table, you are only limited to a number of different pieces per order. and of course, to limit waste, the restaurant informs you that the ordered items not eaten will be charged at an extra charge. drinks and desserts are extra. servers are friendly but can be quickly overwhelmed when the restaurant is complete, don't hesitate to report to a server when you have a new order to pass. I recommend this restaurant with closed eyes, I go regularly."
