we have eaten here on our last day too. you must not be frightened by the external appearance, because eating is really excellent. the fish soup to the appetizer we could eat two because this is really big and with surprisingly much fish. as a main dish I had the grilled otopus. he was totally tender and well spiced. you can really recommend.

you have to wonder how such a local positiw can be evaluated. we were looking for a Portuguese and have left us on the evaluation sports. that was a mistake. alone that we were next to another couple of the only ones would have had to make us stubborn. now to eat: the gurkens in the salat dried, the salmon unfittable, spare ribs the wee a catastrophe.

I am generally not satisfied with the quality of Portuguese restaurants, which I find throughout Europe, North America, etc. it's not easy to find a good one. but at castelo there is in fact a very good Portuguese restaurant! if they miss a Bacalhau dish, the special taste portugals in meat or fish, they can make nothing wrong in castelo. here you will find real Portuguese food. I have also tried the francesinha, it is not the best francesinha of all time, but I consider it as good/excellent. the staff was always very friendly and nice. it is a restaurant that I would definitely recommend and often visit.
