Old Etonian - Carta

I really liked this. the intention was great, the waiter friendly and recommended the best dishes instead of the expensive. eating was very good and the traditional styling made for a relaxed romantic evening. no idea why this place has no higher rating.

This restaurant used to have a good reputation, but it appears to be closed for renovations or possibly permanently. Despite the website indicating it's open until 10:30 pm tonight, it is currently encased in scaffolding and locked up, making it unlikely to open anytime soon.

Having been a few times recently, have realised we are lucky to have this on the hill. It is a good old fashioned local restaurant. The food is good quality, meat and fish always cooked to perfection, and service is friendly. The interior is a bit knocked about but that adds to the charm. It is excellent value for money, good food, good service, and can walk home! Ver carta

We were disappointed with the experience at this restaurant. The food was average, and we felt like we were overcharged, even after including the 12.5% service charge. The dishes were not as good as we had hoped. We wanted to support a local business during these tough times, but we regret choosing this place. There are better dining options available elsewhere on the Hill.

fine dining with beautiful view. a beautiful evening in the old etonian. over the harrow school through the picturesque old harrow village then sat on the admiration of the sunset from their hill terrace. starters were great, we had juicy prawns in white wine sauce and fried calamari. had the main course in simple but elegant restaurant, venison and lamb both well cooked, lamb was delicious, venison sauce was excellent. £53 top for appetizers, main and mineral water, good value for a special evening.

I am very disappointed that this fantastic restaurant has closed down. I have had many wonderful experiences here with my rugby friends over the years. It is highly unlikely that we will find another restaurant as good and unique as the Old Etonian. The staff were brilliant and friendly, and they knew us all so well. From the drinks to the starters, mains, and the famous dessert trolley, we were never disappointed - it was always a pleasure. I hope that all the staff are safe and well, they were a great team! My boyfriend and I came here on a random evening out and couldn’t have had a lovelier experience. The staff are all so friendly, and the food is very fresh. We were a little apprehensive upon arrival given that the menu looked a little cheap (as it was printed on plain paper and not photocopied straight) however this was totally misleading and no one should be put off by this. The food, atmosphere and staff were all so much more than the outside suggested it might be. We definitely will be back next time we’re in the area.

that's such a jewel of a place. to go back a step, harrow was on the hill a jewel of himself! to come over this village of art in the middle of harrow is not something I had expected and then the old etonian came. also here, not to be deceived from the outside, walkable and they want to make this restaurant one of their warm locals. Unfortunately, when we went, the weather was not on our side to use the beautiful outside sitting area they have on the back. the lamb shank, which was very well cooked, almost ordered from the bone. I had a job, and even though I was quite full, I couldn't bear to leave everything on my teller. in any case back soon.

The menu selection is extensive and with the quality to match. With a variety of starters, mains and puddings to choose from, for the desert lovers there is a substantial desert trolley, which is unusual these days. The wine list is extensive and wines can be chosen to suit your taste and for the food, we recommend the Malbec. The King Prawn and Scallops for your appetizers and for your main Filet Steak and Salmon, Calves Liver being highly recommended.
