Opera Delices - Carta

Really fantastic! The meals were wonderful, especially the sandwiches! The view and atmosphere of the ground were also perfect.

found this place whilst walking round Lille. Sat outside -hadn't realized there were other seats but we enjoyed sitting outside this time. good service and light enjoyable lunch fare.

We we went here for a very late lunch. The kind lady behind the counter took time to explain the choices available. He had a Croque Monsieur and I chose the tuna and tomato salad. We were both very happy with our food. Excellent service too. Ver carta

Opera Delice is a place with nice smiling waiters, dellliccious cakes... we love to go there with my wife and we are relaxing there after shopping... if you will visit there one day, please try their "hot chocolate and cake" as u see on the picture...

Not sure if it was suspicious or not but suddenly after taking my order for a draught beer (cheaper option, compared to bottled), a different member of staff came out to say that only bottled (and more expensive) Leffe beer was available after all. €9 for a baguette. Hmmm...

With a decor that reminds a pastry restaurant that I forgot the name of Somerset House in London and waffles as good as in Belgium, this Opéra Delice makes you travel, and for a cheap price because the prices are quite correct (5-6 euros waffle a hot chocolate, served on the second floor and with a smile). This establishment was located right in the city centre. It looked very nice on the outside so we decided to go in. There was a lot of seating so we sat down once we had ordered our food from the counter. The staff were very friendly and our food was delivered to us very quickly. The sandwiches were really nice as were the pasta and the waffles. Judging by this I'm sure the other food (crêpes, cakes), is very nice too.

Such a treat to be here! Best coffee ever and delicious high quality pastries and for an incredibly reasonable price. I think it's the cheapest coffee you can get in Lille. And, the best as well.Very friendly hosts, they'll make you feel at home. Don't miss the two floors where you can indulge in the coziness of Lille and observe the rhythm to which this city beats on. Being here is like being at the pounding heart if the city of Lille. Next visit I'll start the day from Opera Délices, no doubt about it. I finally found the city's heart! Enjoy!!!

My wife and I stopped off here with our 2 year old during a Christmas week visit. It was cold enough outside so waffles on the inside were a goal. The owner and her daughter were delightful. We both had a menu that consisted of a waffle (w/ topping) and coffee, tea, or hot chocolat. Both came very quickly. I'm not an expert on waffles but throw warm chocolat sauce on anything and I'll claim it superb. This waffle was pretty good though. Had a cookie afterwards that was also very good. The place is easy to enter and they have seating upstairs as well. Maybe even downstairs too. Everyone behind the counter were very accommodating considering we had a very active 2 year old. They did a nice job... Ver carta
