"Come for Sunday brunch and you could be in an upper Eastside New York deli, the only thing that gives it away are the London accents! Egg n onion, the best chopped herring for miles, equally good fish goujons, tuna salads, humungous portions and a sprinkling of Israeli classics make this small independent cafe, with its very own bagel and challah bakery out the back, rather special. Even more so in these days of dull homogenised chains. Everything served with a smile. Well done Nick (owner) his team. Weekdays I challenge you to find a better soup( my favourite is the pea soup), with a warm challah roll probably no more than a few minutes old! Can’t recommend this little gem enough !!"

We always go to Pumpernick for our bread and cake and treats. We also regularly have a family lunch on a Sunday. It’s always really fun and atmosphere is great. Staff know us now and serve with a smile. Oh yes the food is what you would sexpect. Delicious….. Nick the owner is a great guy and has a very long career in front of house and catering. He is always there, making sure everything is smooth…
