"Osterio del Pozzo is on a side street off Ancona 's Piazza del Plebiscito. Our party of 3 got a table without a reservation on a busy Friday night, but to avoid disappointment, I would recommend making a reservation. The menu is mostly seafood, though there is a non seafood section of the menu. And many of the dishes, seafood or not, are more interesting than usual. We started out sharing an appetizer a 'millafoglie ' layering potatoes and creamed baccala. I followed up with ciavattoni a penne like pasta with a variety of crustacians and mollusks i.e. stuff in shells. My wife had a sort of large raviola, stuffed with swordfish (pesce di spada) with clams, pistachios, asparagus, little tomatoes. Our friend had a non seafood pasta, with a sauce featuring ham and peas.... Portions were HUGE! Two of us couldn 't finish. So no desserts! We shared a 7 euro liter of house white that was pretty good. The whole bill for the three of us, came to 57 Euro. Interesting food, well prepared, in large portions, at a good price."

Locale in centro molto carino, curato e con personale gentile e molto simpatico. Menù di terra e di mare e buona scelta di vini soprattutto locali. Rapporto qualità prezzo ottimo.

Location situata al centro di Ancona vicino ad una rinomata piazza, Piazza del papa. Piccola ma accogliente allo stesso momento. Personale gentile e cortese. Misure Covid rispettate al 100%. Ottimi piatti di pesce! Ver carta

Stopping in Ancona overnight, after spending a few days in Rome, it was refreshing to come across this unpretentious traditional restaurant offering a great choice of fish and meat dishes, together with delicious local wine, at a modest price. Staff were friendly and accommodating and service was excellent.

We have tried the menu proposed by the restaurant, based on bluefish. Veru good choice: superb marinated anchoives with orange, very delicate and tasteful; spaghetti with sarda fish and fresh fennel, genuine; then roasted bluefish; good local wine, excellent price including lemon sorbetto. Really a good choice both the restaurant and the menu.
