Owens - Carta

Few of us called in for lunch. We had 3 courses each. Really nice and good size portions. Good value for money. We will go back. Lovely staff.

The local pub is a popular spot with a pleasant interior. The food was excellent and the service was friendly and attentive. Convenient parking is available just outside the pub.

We stopped in for drinks while waiting for friends. The atmosphere was lacking, with minimal noise and little ambiance. The prices for drinks were a bit high compared to other bars in the area, and the staff were not very welcoming. Overall, I wouldn't return as there are better bars nearby. Ver carta

I had a fantastic time enjoying social distancing at Owens' spacious beer garden yesterday. The staff were extremely organized, making us feel safe and well taken care of. The food was delicious, the staff were friendly, and the cocktails were scrumptious. Thank you Owens, I will definitely be returning!

Going to football this was the nearest place . Could not have got a nicer welcome and service . Put rugby on for us and volume to watch . Had club sandwich which was really lovely . Could not have asked for more .Staff went out of there way to make us feel welcome . Plus pre rugby loved the playlist music .Thanks to Owens .

Visited Last night was quiet prob due to just after Xmas . Staff really friendly couldn’t do enough for you. New menu new chefs hubby was looking for kickass chicken but took off menu :(so had Lasagne said it was lovely food was really nice defo go back. Food Drink really reasonable. We had not been here for a while and decided to pay a visit as heard good things.We picked the Market menu which was amazing value ,large portions and scrumptious.We had planned to have the 3 course meal at £9.95 but after 2 large courses no room for pudding .The waiter/ barman was so nice and friendly .We will definately be back here soon .Excellent vibe.

I have always been a advocate of Owens , Iv enjoyed many a nice meal in it, However I’m not sure if the Chef Owners have changed in last months as the food was sooooo disappointing not nice at all! Vegetables were cold, potatoes cold, Garlic bread under cooked ,chips literally through on a plate with hard pastry not 1 of the actual courses where nice not even my son’s desert .The time taken to serve the food was also unacceptable . The staff are all really friendly I do enjoy Owens as a pub will go back in it for a drink however I wld definitely not recommend their food based on this visit .

We booked the upstairs function room here for a small family surprise Birthday party. The manager was helpful throughout the booking process and arranged the DJ and buffet. On the day we arrived and were given access to put up a few celebration decorations and also leave a cake. It was disappointing that the manager was unable to offer a discount against 10 bottles of Prosecco (standard price is £18+!! to enable us to give our guests a welcome drink so we ended up arranging 10 jugs of the cheaper cocktails for the tables instead.
