Loved our lunch here, sitting outside next to the estuary during a beautiful autumn lunchtime by the Topsham Ferry. Great location. Food and service very good.

Great pub/restaurant, fab selection of ales. Very good menu and a few specials. Lovely outside seating area overlooking the water. Helpful staff, would definitely recommend.

Excellent pub next to the small ferry with a beautiful outdoor space overlooking the Estuary. The beer was nice after our bike tour and the food looked nice too. The staff was very friendly and efficient and we spent a very pleasant late afternoon in the sun in the view.

In the first night we just visited for drinks outside. There are some tables outside and you can also eat outside when the weather is good. If we see some of the dishes we booked for the next night. The food was fantastic and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I had the seafood plate.

Great food! The food was absolutely fantastic! The portions were absolutely inexpensive. We visited for our 4th anniversary of Exeter. The view over the mouth was nice as we had our food drinks. The staff was very friendly. I had a shell of shell shells that were reasonably fed 2 3 people and they were delicious! If we're ever in the area, I'd leave my way to return!

Had a lovely lunch sat out in the sun overlooking the River Exe. The pub gets busy and getting a table can be an issue. However it is possible to book a table inside and outside. Food was delicious, had a baguette. I could tell the bread was very fresh and locally sourced I believe ingredients also very fresh. Ale was nice a chilled too. Will definitely be visiting again a true traditional pub experience with fair pricing. Staff were excellent, very polite, professional and engaging.

Great food, beautiful fire, brilliant staff and great location.... What else to say? I just walked in because it had Heavitree Brewery on the facade. I thought I'd try the beers. Salcombe Ale was good and the Dartmoor Brewery Jail Ale was fantastic. Staff know things there and are very appealing. The dinner of seafood Tagliatelle, local mussels and fish cake was well made, they know how to cook.... I couldn't blame her. Well worth a visit, or 2 or more.... I can't say that about many places, but that was extraordinary.... Everything...

This is a brilliant place to come for a drink outside on a warm day or even if it is inside on a colder or wet day. There are plenty of seats over the road overlooking the river and small passenger ferry. Providing a lovely relaxed atmosphere. They do a selection of food and some great Ales and ciders too. As well as lagers wines and spirits as you may well expect. All well kept. The staff are really friendly and very helpful. You can reserve tables which could well be a great idea if you think ahead. The food looks good. It looks old inside, without appearing dated, which really adds to its character. Will certainly return next time I am in Topsham and recommend this place to all young and...
