What a pleasure to stay here for two nights and enjoy the unbelievably good meals, great atmosphere and super location, right on the Coccau to Grado bike path, as well as the bike path into Slovenia.

A fabulous four-course meal in a tasteful yet simply decorated restored old building with exposed ceilings. Every bite was delicious. Unbelievable value and warm, friendly service. This will be a recurring favorite...

The food selection in the menu is quite limited but has all the essentials to enjoy a good meal. I personally would add some more local desserts on the menu, as the only two ones (crema catalana and chocolate cake) were not. The restaurant itself...is very cozy and service is good and friendly.

Una cena davvero squisita! In una location particolare e accogliente abbiamo gustato dei piatti tipici eccellenti! L’antipasto ricotta e polenta buonissimo e due secondi di carne , tagliata e salsiccia, ottimi! La proprietaria attenta e gentilissima! Ci ritorneremo sicuramente… CONSIGLIATISSIMO!

A very off the beaten track place, but if you're in Northern Italy, Western Slovenia or Southern Austria then do make the effort. You will be well rewarded. We went twice while on holiday in Slovenia. Actually, would have gone more if we would have...found it earlier. The menu is brief, but there is a good choice. The food is excellent, staff friendly and very relaxed environment. We will go back.

My husband and I chose this place just by chance. We were in the area and decided to have dinner. The restaurant is very cosy and confortable as well. The building is charming and is nicely furnished and decorated. It is a family run place....The person who took care of us was a very nice and friendly lady, the chef’ wife. The dishes were excellent, we had two different kind of pasta, before an entree and finally a desert. Everything was delicious. It was a very nice experience that we would be willing to have again. Nice place, excellent food and very nice service.

We passed this lovely yellow restaurant and pensione whilst cycling on the cycle path from Tarvisio to Arnoldstein, popped in to check it out, and booked a table for the evening. A great find. Fantastic food, whole family happy great penne arrabiata, wonderful courgette...soufflé and melt-in-your-mouth beef cheeks, with superb melting chocolate pudding to finish. Menu in Italian and German. Very warm and friendly owner who speaks both languages. Real pleasure to meet her and to enjoy the food of her husband chef. Yes, thank you reviewers from the TripAdvisor community. You were right in every aspect. Exactly kilometers from the Austrian-Italian border on the is a small insignificant road to the right, leading up a small hillock next to the SS where Pensione Ristorante...Ex Posta is situated. There is ample parking space in front of the building. Ristorante Ex Posta is closed on Sunday evening and Wednesday the whole day according to a message on the door. Entering the premises, the restaurant is to the right;access is through the Italian bar with the bottles and the coffee machine. The restaurant is small, only tables.
