"We were a group of 5 eating at Safran Restaurant, and all shared an unpleasant experience. First off, although most of the people eating at this restaurant are able to read German, there must be a Persian translation/description provided on menu, especially for older guests visiting Germany.Secondly, the photos on the menu mismatch the meal descriptions. After receiving wrong dishes the waitress asked us to ignore the photos next time and read the small font-sized item descriptions.Next negative point goes to the most ironic catch. Although the restaurant is called Safran (saffron in English), the colouring agent used in the dishes is definitely not saffron. This was quite obvious since the chicken kababs and rice did not taste like saffron at all. This is a low-level trick employed by cheap restaurants in Iran. The kubideh kababs should have been named onion kabab, because there was only chewing of raw onion chunks in hard meat when we actually expected rich lamb meat. The drinks were unreasonably overpriced (e.g 8,00€/L coke), and didn't meet the menu specifications. We got small glasses of Ayran (doogh) instead of the promised 300ml on the menu. We also noticed a worker of the restaurant rushing outside to get the cheapest water/coke brands at a Rewe store nearby. The interior design is absolutely not Iranian. It seemed that they bought an Irish pub and did almost nothing to add some Iranian decoration features to the place. This was without any doubt one of my worst Iranian restaurants experiences in Germany."
