"While staying at the B&B Hotel next to Le Depot, we decided to have dinner at Le Depot. The restaurant has a nice and friendly atmosphere and we were happy to sit on their terrace for an al fresco dinner. While two in our group were happy with their ordered dish, the other two ordered roast chicken, which was too dry to eat. It looked like it that the roast chicken was waiting a little too long before a customer was keen to order this dish. When we reported this back to waitress, she did not respond, nor took any action, which kind of spoilt it for us. This should have been addressed and picked up upon. When nearly full plates are returned to kitchen, alarm bells should have gone off! We do not mind paying for a good meal, but this dinner left us a somewhat nasty aftertaste!"

"This Michelin-starred restaurant at Chatel Novel in Varetz made me realize what importance timing, generosity and surprise means to great gastronomy.We - a family of four - celebrated a birthday and decided to go for a three-meal-course at this restaurant which I am told should be the only Michelin-starred in the entire region.We were placed on the terrace just outside the castle with a wiev of the vallye just in front. And already at the beginning came the first surprise: three different appetizers. Every one of them did exactly what they should: called for more in an extremely delicious way.Then - a few moments later - the starters arrived. Everything tasted amazing, were extremely well balanced and seductive. And here is where the timing comes in: the waiters were on their toes to read whenever you needed an extra piece of bread or a little more wine.No necessary waiting - and no hurry either. Precisely the right moment the main course arrived and as all the other food it was perfect prepared and served.And then the next surprise: a rather big birthday cake served on a plate of slate in front of the birthday child. And the moment after she tasted it the waiter discretely asked hyer if he should divide it into four. He did and we all enjoyed it.The desserts arrived with the same sort of natural flow as the rest, and when we finally thought the dinner has reached it's end a small - I dont know what to call it - piece of goodbye sweet ? - was served for us.Each and every piece of food was carefully treated and tasted sublime. What can I say? If you are within a 100 miles from this Chateau in Varetz - hurry."
