"we finally found a decent Chinese take! hoorah! I always have the same dishes from a Chinese sweet and sour chicken balls with simple rice and early rolls. my partner mixes it and this time ordered the golden crispy hot king prawn and the ping on special chow mine. the sweet and sour chicken balls had actually fresh chicken inside with a good teig. the soße was a brilliant orange red, exactly right. early roll were crispy and well filled. noodles soft and well boiled (not shop bought package noodles according to some Chinese take-aways.) complimentary shrimp crackers rounded off a really good Chinese take-out and so glad that we gave this one away. recommended and...read more"

Without doubt one of the top five Chinese restaurants in Edinburgh.

eating is just okay, though I don't know why they have fried their frying fried and they still have called it a brat duck. I find that unacceptable.

emily, you have to go after ping, it's like, amazing, yah yah yah' were the words that I've heard to go a pretty timid and posh friend after stockbridge.

Fantastic Chinese in Stockbridge. Sit in or take away, both excellent. The crispy seaweed and salt and pepper squid are my faves! Freindly staff, nice atmosphere, a great meal, what more do you need. Licensed for drink as well! Ver carta

This is decent, solid Chinese food. Nothing fancy, nothing to get too excited about, but a place we wouldn't mind eating at again. The food was tasty enough. The decor and drinks selection at the restaurant are nothing special, so I think we're more likely to get this as take-out next time around.

Brill!. I've been here a few times, once for a xmas night out, and once pissed with my mate. I tell you the food on both occasions was faultless The waiting staff were nice to especially one guy, funny wee dude lol he cracked me up Anyway apart from the decor, which is really out of date and could do with an update, it was class. Good value too.

I'm sure. They don't understand, I don't even sweat. her so-called special means to pour and operate different meats at a place! you get Char-Siew, a piece of pork, huhn, which are not fresh. they are meats that they cannot sell finished, or meat that they intentionally leave in their refrigerator, microshaft it when someone orders and then on the nude. That's ridiculous. Ver carta

Fighting yesterday to the business lunch, what they would think is an absolute steal. 7.40 for 3 courses, and the list of choices is huge! wing for the curry trinket, huh kung po, and ananas fritte. the three corners were in order, should have gone for the chicken wings, as they look far better! kung po was a real farewell. had drowned instead of cashews, the sauce was quite bland aswell. had been much better off. the frit had much too much syrup on it. will not be in the hurry to go back.

8 clock on a Friday in stockbridge is not the most prosperous time for their choice where to dine. Luckily we were in the mood for Chinese eating and timing it right to sneak one of the last remaining tables in ping on, on the deanhaugh street. at the arrival it was clear that this place makes a lot of business as a farewell, as there was a small waiting queue of people in the foyer waiting to take dishes home. this was in their menu that read much more like a takeaway selection as a restaurant tariff.

"new kapitel has caught my attention after I was on top ten on trip advisor only months after the opening in the oktober last year. that and the fact that it is open for my early january birthday, made it the perfect place to celebrate to become a little older. I was with the man and his family. the man is quite used to my taste and good to the kind of kitchen that would appeal to me for a special occasion; his family not so much and I was filled with shame as his mother scornful went through the menu trying to find something she would enjoy. I've eaten with the family of the man, and I know they enjoy eating, so I think it's a failure of the menu that it is not accessible. the benming always blooming and garnish can appeal to some, but for others it is overcomplicated and it is necessary to find a balance between the two. we start with the starters and I go for venison sour wort pithvier. the venison was underheated and incredibly dry, to the happiness the sourded a little moisturizing and so saved the whole dish, but the aromen were quite not clear, except the garnitur of plastered mushrooms I thoroughly enjoyed. for the largest part we chose a fish dish for our main,- sea trout, smoked muddles, petersilien and coast herbs. where the starter fell, the main recording is getting back. the dish is rich and creamy, and each element adds the complexity of the taste as a whole, without disturbing. the concept is now an old one, and it would be deceptive if it had not worked, as it would essentially pay with this place. I enjoyed my meal in new chapter, although I do not agree with it is stellar status under the hierarchy of edinburgh eateries. it is top ten position is just a flash in the pan of hot popularity, and in time it will be plated in the upper half of the middle stage where it belongs. and that is where it belongs, the dishes can be plated with a michelin star in understood, and the venue and the supporting media has the clean lines and empty slate look of fine but eat the team has a long gone to go if that is their real aim. at the end, although it was a beautiful meal, and cheap (at the moment I would not be surprised to see their prices slowly rise) and the man’s mother found something they enjoyed and that is the most important."
