"update 2022 after I used the restaurant again, I have revised my previous 2 star ratings up to 4 stars. it was 5 stars before the delivery fiasco described below. in the restaurant we had an excellent experience as before, the service was great and the eating was on site. we will definitely go back. while we were there, we noticed pizzas for the delivery accumulating in the kitchen. it was a long time before deliveroo came to collect them. I wouldn't have delivered. my previous 2 star rating is as follows: good restaurant, bad delivery. we have often used pizza express in amersham as a restaurant and are always satisfied. it's not cheap, but it was good. tonight we ordered by deliveroo. eating was slightly delayed by the original forecast, but was actually delivered within 29 minutes. no problems with deliveroo or your driver. when opening the sealed bags we found that the dough balls were missing. also the Bruschetta topping was distributed around the box. once again, it was in order. the pizzas and lasagne arrived cold and we decided to reheat them. the lasagne was in a film floor without lid placed in a card box. this seems idiotic, as any Indian or Chinese restaurant successfully supplies in foil floors with lids without spillage. the reheated pizza is not great, but the lasagne was still beautiful. of the three desserts we ordered were two in order, but the chocolate wing cake was terrible. it was gritty and oily becomes an unpleasant aftertaste. we took the chocolate wingcake back to pizza express and asked for the manager. he listened to our complaints and apologized. he replaced the terrible cake with a brownie that was beautiful. he also advised that we could comment on the cake with the deliveroo app, but I can not see how. overall I would say, use the restaurant, but do not disturb with the delivery. the restaurant manager helped the situation that was very appreciated. cake side by side that would have been very good if it had been served hot. for reasons of clarity, this is not a reflexion over deliveroo, which made its part of the ordering and delivery well and facilitated the reimbursement of the missing teig balls."

Very busy and we felt rushed with two courses chosen, served and eaten in minutes (including two toddlers). Staff were nice and the food reasonably tasty however one of the pizzas was lacking in toppings

We often eat at this Pizza Express and find it to be a great little restaurant. While there have been some minor issues, we have visited over 30 times and continue to return because we always enjoy our meals.

We waited for more than 25 minutes while other guests who arrived after us had their orders taken and drinks served, but we were completely ignored. I politely asked for someone to take our order, but still no one came to serve us. We eventually left, walking past several servers who continued to ignore us. It was a terrible experience. Ver carta

great experience in pizza express amersham. the staff that was served was amazing. very good with knowing allergens and very friendly. the selection was great on the top of the opportunity to choose a pizza of choice, but have done it gluten free. also found that the whole flour they use is gluten-free, so it is also safe for celiac. great service and will definitely be back to this special pe.

I took my 5-year-old daughter to this restaurant for her birthday, and it was a terrible experience. There was a loud kids party next to us, which made it difficult to enjoy our meal. It took a long time for us to place our order and for the food to arrive, and even the starters took forever to be cleared away. When our main dishes finally arrived, nearly 90 minutes after we arrived, they were burnt. The restaurant's excuse was that they were short-staffed with only one chef, but that is not an acceptable reason for such poor service. I will not be returning to this restaurant, as it was the worst dining experience I have ever had.
