"This used to be a shabby looking place before they started renovating but they offered a vegan menu long before most of the other places in town did. Luckily they kept that menu although I wouldn 't think it was frequented a lot for the vegan options. Many classic indian dishes, serves vegetarian options as well. No vegan cheese on their pizza but they 're good without, too. Has limited seating but looks relatively hip after renovations took place. Prices are moderate/ cheap and more than legitimate since the servings they offer are quite big. Friendly staff!"

"Opening at 5:30 p.m., I was already there at 5.25 p.m.... but with little friendly face. I was the first and until then the only GAst came again the question.... have you reserved? No, I didn't, sometimes I'm going to eat because I'm just spontaneously hungry... well, up to 20.00 Ur one would have a table... OK place taken around me some workable drive, at 5.30 a.m. was official admission... Ambience okay, but little cozy, more wart room atmosphere.... I also didn't feel the staff typical of Italians, as they all seemed kind.... In front there were 2 small half hard broschetta brötschen, so little broschetta as a covering I haven't seen anything yet... for that was the brötschen, thought for the herbal butter, full in the oil of the Bruschetta sauce... was also not so appetizing they would rather have left it away... especially since the taste was not so tingly. Appetizer: spaghetti with mushrooms and Parmesan Ging so... the noodles were swung in a big cheese laib and then served... Haupware: Pizza Tonno Cipolla added garlic and Pepperoni I haven't had such a bad pizza on the plate for a long time... the tuna was almost liquid piece... reminded strongly of a well-known animal food... through the liquid the dough was strongly softened in the middle, and thus pampering; tasteful for the ton... beer was cold and the grappa was good... that was... once again they don't see me there.... pity...."

"Nettes kleines Restaurant in Hernes Stadtmitte. Sind bei einem kleinem Sparziergang dort eingekehrt, weil uns draußen auf der Tafel der Mittagstisch ansprach. Hätte gerne den Fisch gegessen , doch als ich fragte ob er frisch sei,bekam ich die Antwort ,nein gefroren. Also, wo war dann die gute frische Küche? Eine Weinkarte habe ich auf Anfrage nicht bekommen ,sondern wurde nur gefragt was ich für einen Wein gerne hätte. Ich nahm einen Rose ,Preis wurde nicht genannt , kostete dann 5€.Mein Mann nahm das Schnitzel Italia ,war sehr klein und dünn hatte zuviel Panade und Käse, schmeckte nicht. Ich hatte die Medaillons Williams, es waren 2 kleine Medaillons, das Fleisch tot gebraten das ich es kaum kauen konnte.Salat war sehr übersichtlich mit wenig Dressing,dafür war noch viel Wasser im Salat,Das Ambiente hat uns sehr gut gefallen, das Essen leider nicht, Service war kurz angebunden.Das Schnitzel kostete 11,50€ Die Medaillons 13,90€ mit Pommes und kl. Salat. Fand ich etwas zu hoch, doch wenn es geschmeckt hätte ,wäre es in Ordnung gewesen."

"During the LockDown we have already picked up several times food at the Krummen dog, also to support gastronomics in our city. The quality is really always 100%, that I have rarely experienced in other restaurants. The food we had exported to Düsseldorf for Christmas was also excellent. The portions are also always generously dimensioned so that a good eater is also reliably fed. The staff is super courtesy and always friendly, here you feel welcome. Thank you so much. We are looking forward to Essen to stay in the new year!"

"This restaurant is located in the Hotel Burggartenpalais an old castle-like building. We chose this restaurant for dinner because it is just a bit away from the tourist traffic and located closely to the surrounding city wall. The inside atmosphere was calming and relaxing, and...the service was friendly, and attentive. Sipping local Secco, we studied the menu and decided to share several small plates instead of ordering an individual meal. Great decision. We started with a colorful fresh mixed salad and went on to indulge in two outstanding dishes: the smoked salmon and a vegetable cheese noodle dish. Highly recommend this restaurant. After we ate, we meandered through the nearby tower and took an evening stroll outside the city walls. Breathtaking."
