Pizzeria Caravaggio

A great little restaurant just off the main busy streets, which means it is not so busy and the prices much more reasonable. The food was really good especially the sea food pasta. Very friendly, food arrived in good time and was enjoyed by all the family.

Only two waiters for around 14 tables. The food is eatable,nothing special. The waiting time for getting just a salad and a pasta dish is unacceptable. The faces of the other clients around us were quite descriptive of the situation. Never again. A place for tourists.

a wonderful restaurant with a really nice relaxed lawn. eating was perhaps the most beautiful I tasted in syrakus and that really says because the standard of cooking in this city is amazing. very recommend this place and if enough people discover it will not be tables left.

a so pleasant surprise in our first night in siracusa. our group of three adult and three teenagers had several sorts of pizza, caprese salat, sea bass and pasta, and everything was great. it is a small family restaurant, and they put their hearts in them. highly recommended.

We had the Il Duello pizza, pasta pomodoro and risotto with king prawns and lemon zest. All were excellent. We are from NYC and experience high quality cuisine frequently. If you are here in Syracuse, don’t miss this place for lunch. Don’t be in a rush, the owner is a lovely man and you want to chat with him a bit. The Pizza was quite special.

we had the most beautiful experience in this restaurant. we arrived a little before their opening time and were greeted by a beautiful man. we suspect that he was the owner because he seemed to do everything and was the only person in front of the house. we feel very welcome. with the menu options supported. they also have numerous gluten-free options.

I spent 1 week in Ortigia, and tried a lot of restaurants that aren’t surprised me.....I wanted to try authentic Sicilian pasta and pizza but unfortunately there no a lot of places where u can really enjoy this food. In Caravaggio we took pasta with frutti di mare and pizza pepperoni that were delicious and very nice service. Don’t forget to try their semifredo for the dessert! Highly recommended!

The food was average and the setting would need more authenticity. The style was traditional but did not look genuine. However, the waiter was very nice. He offered reduced prices for children for regular items on the menu (I don 't mean children menu). He also gave our child painting material so that he could paint waiting for the food. The restaurant was not too busy, cool and quiet. So it gave us a nice break before hitting the busy and warm streets of Syracuse.
