"Second time at restaurant (once before pandemic). Did not disappoint. Truly marvellous evening, delicious food and great service. Our waiter was very courteous and knowledgeable, with a friendly smile. We ate cod tacos, Thai fish cakes, salmon with dill courgettes and nasi goreng. All so good and flavoursome. We shared a desert of mascarpone, apricots and basil crumble. Cannot wait to return. I urge you to try this gem of a restaurant."

"Allabona Lucca is a sweet little restaurant in the city centre. Very minimal decoration and features, but definitely not Shabby. The menu is varied and vey traditional tuscan indeed. Everything is well presented, but without ruffles, the ingredients are remarkable of very good quality and skillfully prepared by the cook. The staff is young, fresh, polite and the service is attentive, mindful, professional and never invasive. All in all a very pleasant experience. I welcome a visit."

"Booked a couple of hours before but after 7.30pm it filled up quickly, so I recommend booking early. The cuisine on offer is excellent, enriched by the pizzeria. Very friendly, professional and attentive staff. Cecina with chicory and anchovies is nothing short of amazing, the knife-cut beef tartare is excellent, the baked pork belly with asparagus deserves a monument, the risotto with asparagus and the vegetable side dishes with artichokes are also excellent.
