"Of the historic restaurants in Ischia Ponte, I think only this one remains. When I say historic I mean the ones where my grandfather, born in 1900, went. But, on this recent visit, it doesn 't seem like they are resting on their laurels. Already commendable is the fact that even the bars are closing it 's winter, yes, but the people of Ischia aren 't going away! they are also open for lunch. The view is always beautiful, the equipment is more accurate than average (real cloth napkins, the right glasses, a tool for keeping the wine cool... , the service is familiar but impeccable. They offer us a pizza for an aperitif, which surprises us but how can we say no? And it 's good too. The starters are exactly three, and plentiful. More than tasty, a full course. Also the scialatielli with seafood, very rich and good portions. We can 't go any further. The price is more than honest, considering that we also ordered the à la carte one: it is more than understandable that in January some labels are missing, and now they cannot be reordered! It 's my job, that 's exactly how it works... In short, a lot of work, a lot of good will, and an excellent quality/price/service/choice ratio, hiding the little things to improve that a professional perfectionist (in the sector like me always finds. Parking: All of Ischia has parking difficulties. Here we are in a limited restricted traffic zone, not active in winter"

Restaurant with an exceptional view, from the terrace you can admire the Procida nature reserve. The staff is exceptionally kind. The cuisine is very good. The products are fresh. The food here is excellent and exceeded my expectations and I find many reviews of this restaurant to be incorrect/poor. The standard of food here is slightly lower than famous starred Trattoria in Napoli but it is far better than most. Both the Spaghetti con le cozze and “Doc” pizza were had were tasty, well-made. The portions are generous, price is fair (without the island/sea-view premium) and service is top. We will eat here again without a doubt. My only criticism is that we found the restaurant abit colder than we like but it was a freezing January day.
