"Who would have thought that? Bad Orb, a small, nice spa village, houses a pearl of good taste and the warmest hospitality. Located in a beautiful old building right on the historic city wall, the hungry guest will find an all-round feel-good package. You will welcome hot, old masonry, wooden beams, beautifully covered tables in white channels, silver candlesticks create an atmosphere where the guest can feel comfortable. The friendly, open address of the hostess strengthens the first impression positively. The menu of handmade paper is not only an eye-catcher, but also a tactile experience. The dishes offered are clear and understandable, promise high pleasure. The greeting from the kitchen induces the palate, with the eye also enjoying. When the hostess comes up with a selection of different, self-baked breads, olive oil and salt, then one is sure: Here I am right!!! The hostess explains what ingredients the food is made from, where the oil comes from, etc. The guest knows what he enjoys. Already at the tasting of bread selection, I asked myself why the bread cannot taste like that with my baker. The main course is a pleasure. Be it the self-made pasta with fresh truffles, lamb chops, calfs medals or the good sea tuft, everything is cooked to the point, excellently tasted and beautifully dressed. The sauces with a lot of patience and feeling reduced so that the consistency like the taste leaves nothing to be desired. "Ich bin immer wieder von diesem Restaurant begeistert! Sämtliche Angestellte, die ich bisher dort erlebt habe, waren extrem freundlich. Alles, was ich bisher dort gegessen habe, fand ich total lecker (ob das original indisch ist, kann ich nicht beurteilen, ist auch egal, schmeckt einfach gut :-). Man wird auch jedesmal gefragt, ob das Essen mild, mittel oder scharf sein soll, und die "Einteilung" passt. Zweimal haben wir nach Nachtisch gefragt, steht nämlich nicht auf der Karte. Einmal gab es so eine Art Reisbrei, das andere Mal "irgendwas mit Grieß und Karotten", beides ungewöhnlich, aber auch sehr lecker. Und dann die Überraschung beim Bezahlen: ging jeweils aufs Haus. Auch zusätzlich bestelltes Naan oder Chappati wurde sehr großzügig gebracht.Als wir einmal zum Mittagessen dort waren, hat man uns gleich darauf hingewiesen, dass das Lamm eigentlich noch etwas länger eingelegt sein sollte. Es schmeckte trotzdem super, und hätte man uns das nicht gesagt, wäre es uns vielleicht nicht mal aufgefallen. Ich kann das Restaurant nur empfehlen und war mit Sicherheit nicht zum letzten Mal dort essen!"

"Meine Frau bestellte einen Orginal Elsässer Flammkuchen. Dieser wAr mit etwa 0,5 cm gehockter Petersilie bedeckt. Da sie kein Freund von Petersilie ist, äußerte sie gg. Der Chefin, dass dies auf der Speisekarte hätte stehen sollen. "Wenn sie allergisch sind hätten sie das sagen müssen, ansonsten essen sie ihn einfach." Ich wollte mir mal wieder das angerissene frische Hähnchen vom Grill gönnen. Dieses war trocken, aufgewärmt und mehr oder weniger ungenießbar. Mein Einwand hat die Chefin nicht interessiert. Auch beim Bezahlen der Rechnung keinerlei Einsicht. "Ich wünsche Ihnen einen schönen Abend - sie können jetzt gehen." Ich mir die letzten 25 Jahre nicht passiert. Mit Sicherheit keine Empfehlung"

"Wir, meine Frau und ich waren heute zum ersten mal im Restaurant La Strada in Bad Orb. Ich hatte Tortellini und meine Frau Pizza. Mein Essen war richtig gut. Man hat die frischen Zutaten herausgeschmeckt. Zudem habe ich zum ersten mal Aldente bekommen und das fand ich große Klasse. Ein kleines Aber kommt leider noch, der Pizzaboden war richtig knusprig, aber die Pizza insgesamt etwas trocken. Was jetzt natürlich kein Untergang ist. Man sollte am besten dort reservieren, da das Resturant klein ist und nur 9 Tische hat. Bewirtung war super und der Kellner war aufmerksam. Alles in allem würden wir wieder kommen."
