Planters At Planters Garden Centre

Bought a friend here to go around the Christmas display and take her for lunch. Absolutely dreadful. Turkey and stuffing bap and chips and then scones! God never had anything so dry. The scone too.

We like to come here as a family, kids enjoy skytail while we have something to eat in the restaurant with our dog. We turn up this weekend and got the sign dogs are not allowed at the weekend. Spoiled it!!

We had booked afternoon tea for but one lady couldn't make it because she was poorly it was already paid for so we took it home my grumble is one of the other ladies asked for hot chocolate which was told had to pay...seperate for it why couldn't she have it when the lady who was poorly didn't get a drink which was paid for also one lady didn't want tuna and got just cucumber on it's own don't think we will be going again

Visited the store yesterday, very disappointing the food wasn't great the turkey sandwich was still partially frozen, the scone was horrible flat more like a mixed spice rock cake. If it wasn't for the christmas tree and the same christmas song playing over and over...for you wouldn't of known it was a Christmas tea. I asked if the table was going to dressed featively but was told that only happens if your having a Christmas meal. Very dussapiinted

My Mum, Gran, and I decided to try the Festive afternoon tea at this restaurant despite some recent reviews. We were pleasantly surprised by the experience. The scones were delicious and a good size, the sandwiches were tasty, and the little cakes were creative and festive. The staff were friendly and accommodating, even when we added an extra person to our reservation on the day. Overall, we had a great time and enjoyed our afternoon tea. It was definitely worth it.

We just went to visit Santa today- literally the worst Santa I’ve ever met!! Before even saying hello, he spent second forcing the children to look at a camera (you can’t take your own photos they make you buy theirs) he then spoke to...the kids for all of seconds and seemed completely disinterested! We paid for kids, I’d have been outraged if I’d have paid more than this! The lovely friendly man in the garden Center aquarium was much much kinder, friendlier and engaged more with the kids than Santa! The reindeer food making was fun, not good all in all though

I went to this restaurant for lunch today and was very disappointed with the limited menu options. The lady at the counter got my order wrong, so my daughter ended up with nothing to eat. As someone who has to follow a gluten free diet, my only option was a vegetable stew with a jacket potato. I was tired of constantly being offered jacket potatoes as an alternative. When I asked if there was something else available, they suggested pizzas but then informed me they were out of those as well. Overall, I was very disappointed with my experience and will not be returning to this restaurant.

We love to take our toddlers to see the animals and fish here, but I cannot believe how overpriced their children’s lunch box is. for half a sandwich, pop, and items of choice which are essentially all bulk bought and theirs no...fresh fruit option for that price. I would like to say their baguettes, sandwiches, and paninis are overpriced too. They are bargain basement with a salad garnish and cheap crisps and average The soup I had was bland and that was I feel ripped off for what I’ve got. Such a shame as they don’t struggle for customers so they could make it more reasonable, until then I won’t be dining there again.

Popped in Planters restaurant as we were shopping in Tamworth. Have been going for years and always had a wonderful meal , however , today's food left us very disappointed. Cleanliness was absolutely spot on, very well thought out cleaning of tables , you could...only sit on a table with a green sticker on which showed it had been sanitised . Tables were spaced out and covid safe. The menu, however, was very limited and although paninis, toasties and baguettes were offered , there was only meals on the mains , not even fish and chips !
