"We visited the ‘Forget Me Not’ café in Seasalter whilst walking from Faversham to Whitstable along the coast path, we were looking for somewhere to have a cup of tea and perhaps a light lunch before continuing on to Whitstable. The café does not appear to be large from the outside but has both inside and outside tables and chairs for customers. We were welcomed in and shown to a table for two and given the menu which we thought was surprisingly comprehensive. The interior of the café has a very welcoming and homely appeal which together with the cheery lady who served us made us feel very comfortable during our stay, a definitive seaside café. From the menu my wife had the tuna sandwich and I had the bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich, which were both served in thick sliced bread accompanied by crisps and a small salad. For a drink, we both had a cup of tea which was perfectly made and very refreshing after our walk from Faversham. The café has customer toilets if required and these were well maintained and clean. We both thoroughly enjoyed our stop off at the ‘Forget Me Not’ café and would certainly make a return visit if in the area. The only criticism I may offer was that the sandwich was so filling, we did not have room for our planed ‘fish and chip’ meal when we reached Whitstable! Very good and recommended to others without hesitation."

We discovered the place while walking the Saxon Shore Way. Lovely pleasant staff who work hard to please. The ham egg and chips was exactly what I needed. My wife said the falafel burger was delicious. Sensible prices.

We decided to book and that was a good decision we had a table for 6 this little place has a big heart! A café/restaurant. Freshly cooked food and incredible value for money. The owners are very friendly and offer great service. The décor is typically 'tea room ' with bunting and eclectic china. The menu choices are very surprising given the size of this place. Hot meals are also available and a great favourite is the Sunday roast for less than a tenner! And I think we will be back to try it. Can 't complain about that! Lovely shall return. Thank you ladies a great experience

The café is a small and cozy spot next to Walden's store and caravan park. There are a few tables outside and about 5 or 6 tables inside. Despite its size, the menu offers some amazing dishes such as spanakopita, Thai curry, and fishcakes. They also have delicious looking chunky chips, although I didn't try them. Instead, we opted for cheese and tomato paninis which were very tasty, served with a fresh salad. The view from the café is a bit limited, with the caravan park on one side and the seawall on the other. However, if you find the right angle, you can enjoy views across Graveney marshes towards Whitstable on one side, and Boughton Hill and Dunkirk on the other. I definitely need to ret...

"After never visiting Canterbury before we where looking for somewhere to have a late lunch, we came across this place which looked ok, upon entering the back room we were offered to take a seat in the front area and someone will be with us. We asked what food there was and we where sarcastically shown the food on the blackboard, after choosing what we wanted the polite man went off and put the order in. We did feel that because the man had asked a couple of questions to another member of staff that he was spoke down too a bit. Anyway after placing the order and what we wanted the food came out it wasn’t correct but because it seemed like we were going to interrupt the people in the back room we just took what we had. It was nice food though. When we went to pay we hadn’t noticed that there wasn’t a price list so when we asked for the bill we were told that it was donation, what we thought was enough, it wasn’t posted anywhere and it took us by surprise as we where standing at the till, I was going to pay in cash but was told they don’t take cash so I had to give my donation in card by telling the person how much we where donating. After plucking a figure out of air as we wasn’t prepared we paid and left. Upon leaving we felt that the person we paid thought we hadn’t paid enough and wasn’t happy with the amount but after working out what we would have paid properly we worked out that we had paid more than what it might have been if there was a proper price on everything. Overall it has a great ethos and it’s great for giving people the experience that they need to be in a working environment but they need to show the price or tell customers first that it’s donations and card only."
