Had a lasagna and was nothing but perfect. Was the price real good for this quality, the place is highly recommended.

You can really feel when someone is cooking from love! Their kitchen is nothing but perfect. I eat there often and not once i had complains! Prices are fair and the staff are nice and pleasant. It is not a beautiful restaurant. But you come...in and you feel the family invited you to lunch ; highly recommended!

I heard a positive view of this Italian restaurant, unfortunately I experienced various opinions. well organized facility, running and managed by family, good service, eating was not bad, but not what I expected. may try that my judgment is not fair enough or it is. is a bad night for them and not satisfied me as a customer l.

Unfortunately, that was a big disappointment for me. the restaurant is always full when I'm past the way home and. I just don't understand why. I give a star for “homemade” pasta and one at the price. the service was physically present...as always not friendly or tempted, and they did not even bring us our bill. eating is neither Italian nor tasteful. waste of money and time.

Wonderful restaurant with a true Italian flair to it. I have been going to Portofino since 2007 when I first moved to Frankfurt. It is cozy, with an indoor and a covered patio area. It is not fancy...it is rather cozy with a homily feeling...to it. The owners and staff (all Italians are very friendly and are always open to special requests and improvisation (yes I have been there many times . No matter what you want: pasta, pizza, salad, meat, fish...the food is amazing!!! They use fresh and quality ingredients and prepare everything themselves. The prices a really fair specially for the quality that they offer. I recommend it and always take friends there to share this experience with them....

I visited Frankfurt in August 2015 and ined four times at PORTOFINO. Once with friends but the three other times alone. I can truly say this place is among my best restaurants in the world . The cooking is basic taken to a high level, as...in true Italian cooking. I soon forgot about the menu card. Why? On entering, the chef normally has the delicacies of the day laid out in the restaurant on a biig table. One day it was hugeBoletus mushromms. So I said to the chef. What can you do with these and as he said he could grill them fwith fish I said. Go ahead . On asking for the menu for choosing a starter, he said No no, I shall finds some good things for you and he did. Wines are fine, ambiemce...

I had dinner here last week. it reminded me of a beloved family restaurant that we often visited in rom (peroni, the beer-builder). back to portofino in frankfurt. . had a wonderful main dish called grandmas fusilli (pasta) with lamb. very tasty...and fill. the next day the half of it for lunch. wein is good and affordable at under 5 euro a glass. I had pinot grigio. Dessert options are numerous. we could not decide what to order so our waiter beat a “sampler” plate. I thought I had died and went into the sky when it came and we thought we would never end it, but we all wanted to lick the plate licking! service was helpful and friendly. Portofino Ristorante Pizzeria Try what I had! Spinach and fine risotto stuffed homemade ravioli (on the menu as totelloni with a generous, peppery, buttery gorgonzola and sliced almonds sauce. An equally generous portion size of four large pastas continues to melt in your mouth...and never 'separates '. I even managed to taste my husband 's delicious bolognese inspired, amply cheesy lasagna. Although a wonderfully garlicky bread basket accompanied the meal, it mainly served as decor only in that we couldn 't eat so much.
