Awful experience this had been booked and all food pre ordered, but on the night they didn't seem to have a clue. Extensive wait, for average food. We were here for a cycling event very early the next morning, very inefficient team at the restaurant to say the least. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

We are really disappointed! We booked a table for 9 people to celebrate my graduation. We arrived but the restaurant was closed and seemed permanently closed. We lost 45£ booking fee. Nobody answered my calls and the email we sent could not be delivered. I feel it was a scam and it caused inconveniences to the family. Really disappointed! Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

The food was nice when it eventually came- over an hour and 20 minute wait for starters and then another hour wait for main courses which were warm at best, but we were so hungry by that point we were desperate to eat. After also asking for gluten free options they mixed up the order for bringing something that we said we didn’t want because it wasn’t gluten free. The service at this restaurant was extremely slow and disappointing. Despite arriving early when the restaurant was empty and pre-ordering all our courses, it took 60 minutes for the first starter to arrive and an additional 40 minutes for the main courses to come out. Meanwhile, others around us were being served before us. The only compensation offered was six bottles of warm beer on the house. Definitely a restaurant to avoid if you value efficiency and prompt service. Service: Dine in.

Ruined graduation meal! This is not anything to do with the staff at the restaurant. They were very accommodating and helpful despite the upset that occurred. The restaurant was extremely understaffed despite them taking deposits and pre-orders knowing that an event was on (graduation). The food was coming out extremely slowly and it was an hour and a half before we had our starters after being sat. The staff worked so hard but there simply were not enough staff to deal with the demand. We got told that there was another table ahead of us waiting for food and we decided to pay for what we owed and leave. Very disappointing.

We arrived at the restaurant and were the only customers there, which initially made me a bit hesitant. However, our server was excellent. We were able to choose our own table, and the food arrived promptly. Not only was it beautifully presented, but it also tasted amazing. Although the portions were a bit small, we ended up having three courses, which we usually wouldn't do. Despite this, we left feeling satisfied and had a wonderful time. The menu offers a range of prices to suit different budgets, so it can be either reasonable or expensive. There is also a nice selection of drinks available. THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE YORK STREET RESTAURANT. RUINED GRADUATION MEAL FOR 6 PEOPLE. WHEN RESERVATION MADE WEEKS BEFORE, WAS ASKED TO PRE-ORDER THE 3 COURSES WHICH WE DID. ON ARRIVAL WAITED A LONG TIME TO BE ASKED FOR THE DRINKS ORDER, WAITED OVER AN HOUR FOR 2 STARTERS, WHICH WERE ONLY BRUCHETTA, WHEN WE QUERIED HOW LONG OUR MAINS WERE GOING TO TAKE, TOLD ANOTHER TABLE BEFORE US WAITING ALSO. WE'D BEEN THERE AN HOUR A HALF ALREADY. NOTICED 2 PEOPLE SENDING THEIR FOOD BACK A TABLE OF 4 WAITED SO LONG TO BE SERVED THEY WALKED OUT. TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS PLACE, DEFINITELY WON'T RETURN. FELT SORRY FOR THE FEW STAFF THAT WERE WORKING THERE, THEY WERE NON STOP, OBVIOUSLY UNDER STAFFED.

Booked a meal here weeks in advance for my graduation day (11/07/23). As we walked in there were multiple customers complaining about their meals and staff seemed shocked when we arrived, explaining that they needed to prepare a table for us as they weren’t expecting us even though it was booked and we came on time. Once seated, all empty tables around us were dirty and had not been cleared with no sight of being cleared either. We waited 25 minutes to be served and no one came so we walked out and I don’t even think staff noticed us leaving. No sight of a manager or anyone guiding staff the whole time we were there. From the upscale exterior and luxurious signage and decorations, I expected this restaurant to be our new favorite Italian spot, especially as we are of Italian descent ourselves. However, we were sorely disappointed. The service was slow, the menu options were basic and lacked authenticity. Our initial waiter had difficulty understanding simple requests, even after repeating ourselves multiple times, and our order was still incorrect. While the special starter was tasty, the rest of the food was bland and overpriced. My calzone was served plain, without any garnish or sauce to enhance the flavors.
