Pretty Cuppa - Carta

The coffee here is good but everything else is lacking. The food on offer looked very unappetising so I chose not to eat despite being very hungry. Expensive compared to other coffee shops in the area.

Stopped by for a quick coffee here, its got a very nice cozy feel to the whole place. The coffee was good as was the cake but a little taken aback by the price of the latter. But you are in central London so it to be expected I guess. Would go back if I was in the area again but would be better if they reduced the prices of the cakes a little.

The service and overall comfort level in this little coffee shop is great but the prices of the cakes is really, really high. My fault probably for not checking the prices but who expect a small pasty to cost almost five pounds? Still, if you don't mind the price, and judging by the number of people inside I guess many don't, its a nice quaint little shop perfectly suited for Brick Lane. Ver carta

They charge per head, not per drink. Ordered a pot of tea to share with one other, but they failed to mention their ricidulous policy until the tea arrived. This policy meant they were expecting us to pay over £8 for a pot of tea, outrageous, they should have mentioned this when I ordered, I made it clear the tea was for sharing. Will not be returning due to terrible customer service and unfair policys.

I ordered a toasted bagel with butter, but after a long wait, I received a slightly warmed bagel with clotted cream instead. When I complained, I was told that this was the preferred option for other customers because they had run out of butter. Disappointed, I requested a refund and left to eat somewhere else. Furthermore, I found the price of £2.50 for a plain supermarket bagel with butter to be quite steep.

We ordered one large cappuchino, one tea, one sparkling watter and 2 cakes. The bill came to 20,50 GBP!! No prices written anywhere, neither they offered a printed bill. The cakes where not fresh, the coffee deffinitely not worth 3,80 GBP and the water a very small bottle. We even had to ask for napkins and brown suggar, which weren't present on our table. I paid £9.90 for two pastel de nata and a small coffee without knowing the prices beforehand. They sprinkled cinnamon on the pastries without asking, and despite ordering a regular latte, I received a small one. The pastries were tasty but overpriced compared to ones at the South Bank. I was disappointed that the Coffee Cab was not available. I regret not being more hungry as I could have gotten a better meal for the same price nearby.

The restaurant is charming but quite small and pricey. The service is lacking: they ran out of bottled water and refused to provide tap water as an alternative, we had to remind them about the rest of our order twice. They neglected the table next to us, leaving the customers waiting for half an hour. When one of the diners approached them, they simply replied "sorry, we forgot about you completely." Given the limited space and few tables, this level of service is unacceptable.

I popped into this cafe today and ordered an Iced Matcha Latte. This drink cost £6 and tasted like drinking powder. When we went back to change the drink the lady in there was the rudest person I had ever encountered in a cafe and insisted that everyone has their own taste and no one had complained before. This clearly is not the case considering all the previous negative reviews mentioning how rude the service is. I would not recommend this cafe to anyone. Overpriced, rude service and an overall bad experience. Ver carta
