"We had a wonderful dining experience at this charming restaurant. The food was exceptional, and the cozy atmosphere made our meal even more enjoyable. The staff were friendly and attentive, contributing to an inviting ambiance. We opted for the three-course menu; my partner chose the beef as his main dish, while I went with the seafood. Both were delicious and cooked to perfection. I highly recommend trying this new restaurant—you won’t be disappointed! We can’t wait to return and explore more items on the menu."

"I have visited this venue on three occasions and I have tried my best to enjoy the food, service and the atmosphere. On paper it should be a fantastic location however my last visit showed how bad the service really was. We waited 20 minutes to be served what to drink it took 10-15 minutes to bring our drinks over and after taking our order it took nearly 50 minutes to bring our food over. I really don 't like to slam local businesses down but taking nearly an hour to serve food to 4 people is really bad, the service was not greeted to how was you meal nor did they asked if we wanted more drinks during our meal, simple things to please customer service and I really do think this was a one off as there wasn 't an experience staff member in sight. I just hope that on my next visit it will be a 5 star. As I said I really want to like this venue as it in a nice village it has great features with the pub and it will take simple steps to improve the quality of service. Price per person: £80–90 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1"

"So impressed with The Millstone tonight. The food was excellent as always, but what really made our evening was the fantastic staff. We were there with our children and our grandchildren, so from age 60 to 7 months! Staff couldn't do enough to help and make things perfect for us. They are so thoughtful and kind. All of them full of smiles, warm and friendly, as well as highly efficient. They really made our night and I can't thank them enough. Highly recommend a visit here."

"We have visited the cafe on a number of occasions when travelling in this part of Wales and it has always been a favourite of ours. We called in yesterday for lunch after booking the day before. I would think it is advisable to book at the moment as the covid19 regulations are making life more difficult for owners of all cafe's, restaurants etc. The food choice was excellent and everything we had was lovely and all served with a smile. Apart from the food the other thing that stood out was the attention being paid to keeping everyone safe in the light of the pandemic. There is hand sanitiser available at the entrance to the garden centre and several other places around the cafe. Between guests the tables and chairs were cleaned to what must be operating theatre standards! We are looking forward to our next trip out this way and will definitely be calling in again. A big thank you to all the staff."

"The food here was really good. Let down by the service. We had to ask for our drinks after the starter arrived, we had to ask for Toast with the pate the server didn't know if it came with it or not. Roast beef dinner was the best we have had for miles around though. We asked for dessert menus which we then had to ask for again after 15 minutes. We eventually ordered ten minutes or so later, and then decided to get the bill after 20 minutes when the desserts never arrived, we did get soup spoons though as apparently that's all they had. I imagine there were dessert spoons somewhere but it was probably easier to just give soup spoons as it saved them having to leave their chit chat to go and find them. There were a couple of efficient staff behind the bar but the floor staff, of which there were plenty just stood chatting and drinking by the coffee machine ignoring everything that was going on. Such a shame, especially as the food is really good. If you can't offer efficient table service then just adjust your offer so customers can order at the bar. Customers don't mind paying a fair price for good food if the service is good too. Its not hard. It seemed the place wasn't managed tonight maybe it was just a bad day but puts you off a revisit when this is already the second time we have had this experience."
