"With 2 dogs it is virtually impossible to get an evening meal in this area when wanting to eat indoors as you would do at this time of year. An Internet search found this pub and, based on experiences to date during our holiday, we...rang the pub from where we were for the day Porth Dinllaen. We spoke to a helpful male member of staff who confirmed dogs were welcome, a reservation was not required and we should simply turn up. So, we travelled the 15 miles and found the pub which was admittedly busy. On entering I spoke with a female member of staff working behind the bar asking about a table and pointing out we had dogs. Her manner suggested she had no interest in trying to accommodate us. I was told there were no tables available, others were already waiting and it would not be possible to give any estimate of when a table might come free as 'it is just a pub '. Zero customer service skills. I did walk away before going back to speak with the same member of staff telling her about the earlier phone call but again zero interest so we departed. As I have said we could see it was busy but the attitude of this one individual is not what we as visitors to the area expected to experience. We won 't ever go there again."

Very nice and friendly service in a pleasant atmosphere. The food is very good, and even if it is pointed out that it takes a while, it is still quick.

We turned up as a group of 13 and the pub was friendly and very accommodating. Food was tasty and good value. If you are in the area and want a good traditional pub , head straight here

Great food and drinks. Great service as well. I had a Salmon Fillet salad. The salmon was quite cold by the time It came out, but honestly I couldn’t complain with how good my plate was.

Had a lovely meal here whilst in the area. Friendly pub and both me, my partner and our two dogs were made to feel welcome. Both our meals were excellent, well cooked and very tasty. I had lasagne (yum yum) and my partner had the...gammon which he said was lovely, well cooked and not too salty. I’d definitely come back and recommend anyone to give it a try.

we were close to this pub a few times. mainly serve young ladies. with large customer service. our waitress was extremely asked if there is something we wanted and ask if everything is in order. sun is a walk for sun dinner. sad. was there after they were told they were already sold out. what we saw looked delicious, and their other food looked good. we had her cauliflower soup that was delicious. beautiful atmosphere in the pub local are also friendly.

what a crisp discovery and a fantastic meal. Sunday afternoon on the look for a pub, traditional eating other than Sunday lunch. that saw and moved in. jayy the whole menu was available plus Sunday lunch if desired. they were actually. sold from Sunday dinner, which was a good sign. it was pretty full, but the managed to find us a table. the personal was brilliant and attentive. order from the table to make sure that the mel was in order and to check whether we need additional drinks. huge compliments for the waiting staff. the food was so good. gammon was huge and many extras. steak pie was one of the best I had. could really taste the ale in it. well done to them all on such a cracking pub...
