"Qui la cosa è particolare , si mangia bene a Bobbio in 3 posti eccezionali ed il Barone è uno di questi . È un ristorante in cui si abbina la tradizione Emiliana con la classe dei piatti moderni , ottime le carni , particolare è il padellino con le verdure servito caldo con del pane croccante, ma i MACCHERONI ALLA BOBBIESE VI STUPIRANNO. Il personale è cortese educato e molto attento alle esigenze del cliente. Le materie prime usate sono molto fresche . Consigliatissimo. Se vai a Bobbio e non mangi dal Barone potreste perdere qualcosa ,il prezzo è giusto per la qualità che si mangia o meglio degusta. Un posto in cui tornare o tenere presente per portarci la vostra dolce metà."

"We had been recommended this restaurant by a local and we went there for our last night in Bobbio. We had spent 5 glorious days in this lovely town and wanted to finish on a high. The food was fabulous. Authentic and fresh. However one of the owners was particularly rude and inhospitable. She ignored us and made us feel uncomfortable and made it quite obvious she did not like us. She made us wait for our bill without trying to explain what was happening even when we tried to pay. I could not believe how she was operating. The wait staff were very good and we loved the food and wine. But really, this womans behaviour was unacceptable."

"Una bella finestra su uno dei borghi più belli d'Italia, Bobbio perla delle colline Piacentine. Dal locale si può ammirare il paese e il famoso Ponte Gobbo dal quale si arriva al locale dopo una breve passeggiata. Qui sotto il fiume Trebbia scorre e disegna un panorama che merita fi essere visto. Cucina tipica Piacentina, antipasti di salumi e chisolini e giardiniera, tortelli piacentini con la coda, macheroncini alla Bobbiese e crostate i piatti che abbiamo assaggiato. C'è l'imbarazzo della scelta. Servizio cordiale. Locale spazioso e capiente anche per grandi gruppi."

"Happened by chance like many others because the historic restaurant in the village had no more room. As it is very hot, the owner advises us not to stay under the porch but on the more airy side facing the valley, under the trees. Good food but the service has a lot to learn. Set the table by placing the placemats directly on the table without cleaning it beforehand, obviously it was dirty with dust and leaves being outside under the plant. We order water and wine and no wine glass is brought to us. We don't want to break it and we use a common glass for water and the other for wine. The restaurant has recently opened and they come from Genoa so we preferred to take Genoese dishes and not for example the Bobbiese macaroni typical of the area. We took pansotti in walnut sauce, fresh pasta that they get from Genoa, a pity they don't make it considering that the menu has very few choices and above all the second courses are cold ready-made dishes such as bresaola or caprese. The dirty encrusted cheese bowl is brought to the table by those who had used it before.... The pasta was good but the sauce was a bit low in quantity and the walnut was hardly noticeable. The portions are normal, not abundant, so let's continue with a recco-type focaccia. Very good, congratulations to the husband who is a pizza chef, a truly excellent product made by expert hands. The focaccia is brought to the table by a girl, I think by her daughter who was probably in the kitchen washing the dishes, since she was a bit rude, there was our table and another and she brings the focaccia to the other table with 6/7 people who luckily realizes it's not theirs and sends it to us. Too bad that the cutlery had been taken away from us and we had to ask for it. Certainly very kind but you can see that they have recently opened and the service absolutely needs to improve especially for cleaning and attention to the table. Wine list as if it didn't exist, a sheet is brought with written on still red wine, sparkling red white and 2 bottles of Genoese wine ... at least the winery must be indicated in the wine list also because the wines present were only 4 or 5 . Their cat, who sits aside at the table, keeps us company throughout the meal"
