"I had a Smoke On The Water with smoked bacon, shredded lettuce, Cajun sauce and hot Cheddar (absolutely gorgeous), and K had a Joe Le Taxi with bacon, avocado, lettuce and cheese and did the ‘mega upgrade’ whereby you get an additional beef burger (two burgers totalling roughly of pure ground steak). We split the baked potato and chips between us (the chips were outstanding, I’m guessing they were twice fried being so crisp on the outside and soft in the middle)."

I was very frustrated to arrive at the restaurant on Saturday evening to be told by the lady at the door that it had unexpectedly closed on Tuesday.

the good and the service were fantastic. also it was an excellent value for money. in the night we took part, it was a little quiet, though it was a Friday.

Upon arrival, we were seated at a small table in a cold room. The food we ordered arrived lukewarm, which was disappointing. The server was attentive and tried their best, but overall it was a negative experience that we do not plan on repeating. Ver carta

I had a smoke on the water with smoked speck, shredded salat, cajun sauce and hot cheddar £8.80 (absolutely beautiful), and k had a joe le taxi with speck, avocado, salat and cheese £9.50 and did the "mega upgrade" £1,50, giving them an additional bark burger (two burger floor total 1). we share the baked kartoffels and chips between us (the chips were excellent, I guess they were fried twice so cracked on the outside and soft in the middle).

"Super place. We visited here last weekend for a single night's stay for a friend's wedding. Its situated in Chatburn, a ten minute taxi drive from Clitheroe. Our room was large and spacious with plenty of wardrobe space for clothing. It had the usual complimentary tea and coffee service and a hairdryer in the room. The rooms were very clean and offered some gorgeous views of the nearby landscape. The bathroom was modern and well maintained. The staff were lovely and very approachable. We had booked for breakfast but did not end up having any. The staff were very good and would have given us some food to take home if we wished. I would definitely recommend Greendale as a place to relax and forget the world for a little while. The bed was also extremely comfortable. We will return."

"Nice welcoming staff we booked late via The Fork but they still had our reservation waiting with our Yums discount. the food was very nice and well presented, It was a friday night and the restaurant was quiet although the weather had been awful all day so that may have been the reason. its a large building with high ceilings and we found it a bit chilly especially towards the end of the evening. overall a good restaurant."

"I always make sure to call ahead and make a reservation at this restaurant, as they are often busy and I wouldn't want to risk not getting a table. Luckily, I had no issues today. Jo, the host, is a delightful woman who always greets us with a smile and engages in friendly conversation throughout our meal. The food was exceptional and delicious. On this cold day, I decided to order the Moussaka, which was served piping hot and stayed that way until the very last bite. Many thanks to the talented chefs for preparing such excellent Greek cuisine. I will definitely be returning soon. Can't wait! "

"Had soup of the day, Broccoli Stilton, Delicious. The main courses gave varied choices, but I opted for the Hot Roast Beef onion baguette. The beef was lovely and tender, served with gravy on the baguette, which also Came with a delicious side salad. I had never been before even though it was busy staff were pleasant and friendly, and no request was too much. I was told by my daughter who was in the party I was with that you have to book beforehand, as no walk inside are accepted, which doesn't surprise me. Anyone thinking of going, don't just think about it, do it."

"This is a very honest opinion of our stay at this establishment, we arrived had a drink in the garden then realised quickly the wasps are a nuisance due to the plumb trees. we collected our keys headed to our room and the stench of sewage or an unflushed toilet hit us right away. we asked for air freshener and was given some lovely spray we sprayed the room and left it for a few hours and took a drink to the upstairs patio this was better than the other area no wasps but the builders noise and there silly shouts meant we had to take our drinks inside. later we had a meal which was lovely the only problem was the portion sizes after £60 in food we left hungry and looking for a takeaway. the breakfast however was of a nice size and enough. All in all a nice place but don't think we would return due to the meal sizes and the room stench as regards the building work we may have just visited on a bad day but the builders do need to be a little more understanding there are still punters about an keep there nonsense to there self Rooms: 3 Service: 3 Location: 3"
