"We visited last night for a family birthday. Been before, but not for a while. Four adults and one pre-teen with very specific likes and dislikes! The choice of food was amazing. Specials boards, saver menu, fish, steak, pasta...... It's all there. I had the mushrooms with a cheesy tomato sauce to start, which was gorgeous, and then the fish curry half and half. The chips were gorgeous, and the curry was out of this, world! My husband couldn't make it, so I asked if I could order a takeaway for him. The waitress said that most things could be packed to take away, so I ordered him a chicken curry half and half. Everyone's meals arrived together, and our waitress was attentive but not overly so. We were allowed to eat our meals at our own pace without feeling rushed. My stepdad has dementia, so can take ages to choose and then to eat, but again, we weren't rushed. All agreed the meals were lovely. Nobody could manage dessert, although there were, again, many choices. Our waitress brought out my husband's curry when we asked for the bill, and it was piping hot and well packed. All in all, a hugely enjoyable evening was had by all xx"

We dined with a group of 16 people and the evening ran smoothly thanks to the exceptional staff and delicious food. The staff were amazing, managing our large table with ease and attentiveness. They made sure all of our needs were met with a smile and provided top-notch service throughout the night. The food was equally impressive, with every dish served hot, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The menu had a great variety of options, all executed perfectly. "A few days ago, I celebrated a special occasion at this restaurant, and it was a wonderful experience. The menu was excellent, and the staff were very attentive, allowing enough time between courses. We were warmly greeted with smiles upon arrival, and after being shown to our table, we were given a few moments to settle in. The waitress provided us with the drink menu and was extremely polite. After enjoying our drinks, we placed our food order. The fillet medallions were absolutely amazing—everything was served hot on the plate, with the sauce presented in its own mini hot pan. I will definitely be returning. In terms of cost, I believe that for the quality of food, service, and overall experience, they cannot be beaten by any other restaurant."

"Booked a table online, we arrived 10 mins before our booking time (I assume that’s acceptable and we’re seated. The waiter with the bandana on was so lovely friendly, didn’t waste any time taking our drinks orders at all later returned to take our food orders. I ordered the fish basket my husband ordered the 3 meat selection, one of his choices was half a rack of ribs, however they didn’t have any. My husband decided as there were no ribs he would have been better off going for the mixed grill, as it was basically the same price but more meat so he went to the bar to ask if it would be possible to change his order it was no trouble for them at all. The chef delivered the massive mixed grill to my husband even came to check he was happy with it later, the lovely waiter with the bandana also came to check all was ok it was. The chips were massive but tasty portions were a really good size. Food cooked fresh to order so couldn’t fault it. The lady waitress was chatting to us when she took our plates away was also very friendly. Great meal, we left happy with full bellies: Thank you"

"Visited with friends who live locally on Sunday. The carvery Sunday lunch was excellent. A choice of beef, turkey and ham with a wide selection of vegetables. All perfectly cooked. The meat melted in your mouth. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and attentive and despite the place being busy they served the food quickly and efficiently. All the tables were safely spaced out and it did not feel crowded. We had a lovely meal and would go again if we were in the area. The only problem we had was trying to park in the crowded car park although we did find a space when someone left and the toilets although very clean and well maintained had a slightly puzzling configuration and were not obvious to a new visitor. Only minor points which should not distract from an excellent pub. Make sure you visit but make sure you book first. It is a very popular place and when you visit you can see why."
