My best meal on my trip! Chose one of the seasonal specialties, chanterelle with venison and the local version of pasta, late zle in a beautiful sauce. staff also very friendly

Came here for lunch. Had the venison stew and the stew with wild local mushrooms. Nice strong flavours, lovely soft potato dumplings, and good beer on tap. Very nice overall, and well-priced.

This is a really good restaurant. The town is cute and fun to walk around. The restaurant is a great place to sit and relax and enjoy a good meal. The staff is friendly, and I can't say enough good things about the food. A definite 'not to miss' place! Ver carta

We went here for diners and ordered both an asparagus menu wth a Schnitzel. The place looks good, also has a beautiful outdoor seating area overlooking the main road in the center of Wernigerode. The prices are average, so the food. The carving was baked a little too long, but still "iceable".

The place to be on the main train in this magnificent tourist city. Café with good food and good beer. Perfectly sufficient if not unforgettable, service. The menu is a pleasure with the owners over all taxes they have to pay. Apparently there is a sparkling wine tax, a coffee tax, and especially for Bostoner a tea tax.

On the main street in Wernigerode is the picturesque Ratsstubchen one of the older buildings in this beautiful town. Frau Schmidt and daughter, Carmen preside over a homely bar serving excellent German food at reasonable prices along with excellent German beers. Do try the Schwarzbier [black beer]. Bar tends to close when the last person falls off their stool! Looking forward to my next visit.

Had a pleasant enough lunch, sitting outside in the shade on a very hot day. In addition to the standard menu, the restaurant offered a number of special dishes, especially as White Spargel was in the season. I had asparagus with chips and potatoes. The food was good, although the Hollandaise sauce with the asparagus tasted a little too much vinegar and not lemon. The price for the food was good and the beer was relatively cheap. Friendly staff.

We went here after reading the good reviews and we liked the look of the cosy restaurant area in the day time. When we arrived in the evening there was only two couples eating there and the restaurant area was brightly lit. We decided to still go in and give it a go. Really wish we had not as the food was horrible. We both had a different soup to start and they both tasted of salt. I could not eat any more than a couple of mouthfulls. For main course I had pork schwintel with chips. The pork was tough and greasy and the chips were also to salty to finish along with the mushroom cream sauce, you guessed it also full of salt. My husband had a dark sauce with his meat again too salty.Neither of... Ver carta
