The burgers at this restaurant are fantastic! They pair perfectly with the smoked cheese and fries, and the salad is consistently fresh and crunchy.

During our visit, the restaurant had limited hours due to Covid restrictions. Despite this, we enjoyed a nice meal and wine at a reasonable price, served by very helpful and friendly staff.

Had lunch here as recommended by friends. Should have had light bites and dessert. We had the mains which was lovely but no room for desserts. Guess we will have to go back which will not be a hardship. Highly recommended

I know the govt are paying half of the cost , and im sorry to Give a bad review. But honestly , the fish and chips we had today were awful!! Soggy leather batter, chips l dont want to comment on! Really so disappointing what happened?! Dreadful .

Delighted when I was able to order 3 starters instead of one main dish. My tastebuds were revitalised by the chicken satay skewers, haggis in a chilli mayo sauce and breaded camembert in a sweet chilli sauce all served with salad. Divine. I felt comfortable and welcome as a solo female diner and will visit as often as I can.

The town is clearly suffering from Covid restrictions. Well structured measures in place. Staff really friendly and welcoming. Traditional menu. Really well presented and generous portions. Tasty Fish and Chips and Chicken burger. The team are clearly working hard to present a quality product in very challenging times. For that I give them 5 stars.

It´s a real test of a restaurant when you have a hungry group of 12 ,comprising 8 adults , three teenagers and a six year old. Fortunately, the Red Poppy passed thanks to the variety of the menu, quality of the food and drink (Malbec wine)and the great and patient service in dealing with the fact that half the party couldn´t speak English. Well done!

I went to red poppy tonight and can honestly say it was the best meal I've had in a long time! The food was cooked perfectly and the portions were amazing. I even got a burger to take home for my husband so he wouldn't miss out. They had track and trace and checked temperatures. Despite everyone being spaced out, there was still a nice atmosphere. Great job, guys!

Came for lunch with family and had a wonderful meal. From the minute we entered COVID procedures were followed which made us feel at complete ease when dining. The waitress was very friendly and we were very well attended to. The food was hot, good size portion and incredibly tasty. All food was fresh and very well presented. We couldn’t fault a thing. Can’t wait to come back again!
