I was with a friend at the Athena restaurant on Wednesday, because today there is a special offer for women. A dish and a drink for 10,90€. This is an unbeatable offer. The ambience and lighting conditions are pleasant, the staff very friendly and our food was reasonable! Sufficiently large portions, fresh goods and deliciously prepared! The food was unfortunately neither fresh nor really delicious. We were recommended to the place and also after the recessions here we were only expecting good. The wine tasted like water, the appetizers were okay but the main foods especially the chicken meat and other dishes with Metaxasauce were not really enjoyable. The quality of the meat was already visually not really good and that was also noticed in the taste... Really bad and absolutely untypical in such a family business... No recommendation!

Ordered Lamb Souvlaki, and was not sure if what we got was actually lamb ... did not have the kind of seasoning I expected from Greek Souvlaki. The Saganaki cheese appeared to be Feta; there was no lemon served with it. The tiropita was in the Skopelos style (I had to research this... , not the triangular phyllo pastry 'pie ' shape that I was used to... not bad, just different, and, again, could have been nice with some lemon. Prices seemed OK. Service was good. German-language skills seem to be a necessity.
