"beautiful restaurant en good food! had a tomato soup a pizza special and chianti wein. as aperitif a ristretto and amaretto. and a special ingredient! there was a piece of steel brush in my pizza! I showed the restaurant owner, but he reacted indifferent!. in my opinion, I would expect a compensation, but I had to pay the full amount! it was a piece steel approx. 0.4 cm! this piece of steel could lead to some bad complications!"

"Ich war lange Zeit Stammgast in der Alten Wache. Leider war ich bei meinen letzten 2 Besuchen überhaupt nicht mehr zufrieden. Die Pizza war nur zaghaft belegt und schmeckte nicht so, wie ich es von einem Italienischem Restaurant erwarten würde. Sie war keinesfalls schlecht, aber umgehauen hat sie mich auch nicht. Der italienische Salat war vielseitig und schön angerichtet, schmeckte aber nach rein gar nichts. Das aktuelle Personal war meiner Meinung nach nicht sehr aufmerksam. Die Qualität hat meiner Meinung nach (im Gegensatz zu früheren Jahren) stark abgenommen, schade...."

"We ordered very well done steaks only to have them arrive with a pulse.....returned straight away to get them even more rare!!! Eventually after a few actions of 'burning' them they were perfect!! Staff were excellent and very apologetic and the rest of the food was fantastic!! We would happily visit again.."

"my man and I often visit restaurants several times. on this way we want to check our collected impressions and if necessary correct (for positiw or negatiw, depending on the findings. Today we visited the restaurant again on the afternoon with the same personal group of guests 303 years old after almost 10 months. we found a parking space right in front of the building (safe parking disk please use it maximum parking time 3 hours . over a few steps you reach the entrance door. still two stages, but without a country! with my mother (on the way with help) there were considerable disappointments and I had to support them. the mother-in-law made it so without help. we had reserved by phone and were very kindly greeted by the waiter at our arrival. the guest rooms were still very weak and we were allowed to choose between two tables. both were on an elevated heel one step higher, but the waiter showed us additional attention. at the table was already covered with cutlery and serviettes for four guests, the table candle was immediately lit and the menus served. a real tulip in a glass vase, a gray table runner as well as salt and pepper scatterer together with the candle made the table decoration. the menus were stitched in dark brown leather coats. Unfortunately, the coats already formed a very separated impression and at the corners and folds the brown cover layer was partially removed. it wasn't quite beautiful. what was still negatiw was that before the entrance door were offered on a very large table (in the generally higher price per day dishes. our four cards lacked both this daily offer and a note. I wonder why the host does not make these food delicious for its guests in the restaurant? the card itself had a rich offer of antipasti, salads, penne, pasta, lasagne, pizzas, meat and fish dishes from Italian cuisine. also the dessert selection can be seen. the offer of the main card can also be classified as cheap to reasonable as the classification of the beverage prices. my mother chose a pizza (small quattro stagione, but chose peperonici and paprika from it. calculated 7.40 €. the mother-in-law chose a carving Wiener art (senior portion with pommes and addition salad for a total of 10.90 €. the courts of the day card were stabbed in my eye at the entrance door and his choice fell on the dorade (orata alla griglia including grill vegetables and addition salad for €18.20. I also had a meal: the pizza contadina (small to 6,40 € did it for my little hunger. the ordered beverages 1x 0.7 ltr bad brückenauer mineral water medium at 3,80 €, 1x 0.5 ltr hot wheat free at 3,40 € and 1x 0.2 ltr apfelchor at 2,00 € were quickly cooled to us on the table. during the very short preparation period of the dishes, the guest room now filled more and more with guests. first the two addition salads came to the table, they were prepared in a deep plate with only enough but delicious dressing. the main dishes came almost at the same time (three together, the dorade a little later. Nice that the pizzas were already placed pre-cut and the waiter mentioned the extra. both pizzas were tastefully very good, the teig was chewed, neat and also saturated as small portions. the carving of the mother-in-law (senior part was as big as in some places a whole. with the salat and the large part of pommes more than saturating for the 89-year-old dame. at least one third of the scavenger reads from the friendly waiter in aluminum foil to remove. to the fish dish of my man: the addition salad was exactly what the mother-in-law had received for her carving. as further supplement there was a deep plate filled with various fresh crunchy grilled vegetables. the dorade was served separately on an extra dish with a lemon pan without disturbing citrate. my man applauded his court and praised both salat, sweet and the preparation of the fish. Each 1 espresso for the spouse and me at €2.20 rounded off our stay, as for one dessert no more capacity was left in the bauch. the toilets are first used directly through a hall that is used as storage space and then down into the cellar. cleanliness? no problem! Nevertheless, the parking lot is very opaque. but no care: at the end of the flur in the flur of the guest room there is a very spacious, disabled toilet! "Food was decent, not what I expected from an "american" diner. No american beers at all but beer posters all over the walls. The red wine they served was undrinkable. Wouldn't visit this restaurant again. Took forever to get our food."
