I had two meals here recently. The Duffel specialises in potato meals. There is a view across the valley. The food was of a high quality and wines were also good. I recommend the asparagus. Best place I have eaten in Siegen. Ver carta

Hier gibt's allerlei Kartoffelgerichte, die Saisonkarte bietet Abwechslung. Freundliche Bedienung, die Preise sind ok! Uriges kleines aber feines Restaurant in Siegens Oberstadt. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen netter Junior Chef und ein netter junger Mann im Service Wir haben noch einen Tisch für zwei bekommen ohne Reservierung,jedoch auch noch sehr früh am Samstag Abend. Daher am besten telefonisch reservieren. Unser Essen war sehr lecker und reichlich. Tolle Kombi mit Kartoffelbrot und Siegerländer Krüstchen..!! Wir kommen gerne nochmal wieder ,dann aber mit Reservierung.

'Duffel' is 'potato' in the local dialect so there's a strong emphasis on potatoes with all dishes on the menu, which is fine by me ! The usual chicken, steak and schnitzel dishes are on offer starting at a very reasonable 11 euros. Portions are large. There is only a limited selection of vegetarian dishes. One of my friends wanted a gluten-free dish and the waiter kindly checked with the chef to make sure all ingredients were OK for her. Lovely views over the town of Siegen so make sure you get a window seat. Total cost was 90 euros for main meals and drinks for 6 people :-)
