Restaurant Im Jager

The name is german. The interior is german. The food is balkan (serbian/croatian). Fantastic good quality of food beef is top! Prices are very good for the area and especially for the quality. I went twice I will revisit for sure!

We have been meaning to eat here, since our first attempt without a reservation was unsuccessful helping us learn how it is done in Germany. Today's lunch was nice. Salad and Jäger Schnitzel. Nice atmosphere too. Relax and enjoy don't be in a...hurry.

We went in here, thinking of German traditional food. When we saw the menu, which looked sort of Croatian, we were a big unsure, as it wasn't what we expected. Well, the food turned out great, very delicious. Service was excellent, so we'd definitely come...back.

the menu is international with an orientation to the balcony kitchen. we had the balkan plate for two people for 31,50€. there was plenty of meat (each two cevapcici, the one raznici, the one small pork, the one chopped and a speck) - it was good spicy and tasty to the salted spits) .

We ate here on Saturday, however, the elderly lady didn't seem to pleased when we walked through the door at The menu is all in German and it is extensive, lots too choose from. We manage to figure out the food ourselves! The food...was stars ....the service Shame as it has so much going for it! The restaurant was packed! Lovely wine with our dinner. It was a min walk from our hotel, so very handy.

I have been to this restaurant twice as it is close to my house. I found the waitress to be very nice and friendly. It has been the same lady both times and I found her very pleasant. The food is good, nothing special just...decent restaurant fare at a decent price. I will return to Im Jager, it is a pretty good value. As the rating says, an average place but they have done nothing to warrant me to not return.

The food was good, and priced right, however it is easy to understand why the restaurant was nearly empty, the service was the absolute worst that I have everr had in my life time. The waitress was a rude elderly lady that made it verry...obvious that she didn't want us to step in the door. They only had one waitress, and she obviously hates her job. The food was good, but even great food could never overcome such horrible service.

My husband and I are here with our three young kids (ages and Whenever we dine out with them in Germany we are always concerned about them being rambunctious, but luckily they were pretty good. We did have some stares when we...walked in with three young kids, but we did our best to converse and order in German and the owner/hostess seemed very pleased that our children tried to speak German also. My husband had the filet which was cooked perfectly. I had the schnitzel with champignons (mushrooms) and our kids had the fish sticks. We all had frites and my husband and I had a beilagen salat with our meals. All were delicious and we were happy that it was only a few minutes walk from our AirBn...

What a shame the older lady was so horrible our first impression on Germany was tarnished by her manner!! We went to this restaurant on our first day in Germany after checking in at our hotel, she gave us the impression that she didn't...like English people was so put out that we asked for an English menu (I am sorry we don't speak German! We just had a snack which was lovely cheese, ham pineapple on toast a couple of beers, we did give the restaurant another try the following day but this time for an evening meal. What a surprise she was still awful, knowing we were English had visited the day before were given the German menu with which my husband had to go help himself to the English one!...
