"Worldwide one of the most extraordinary setting in an old Chateau d'Eau in walking distance from the town hall/center. A super feature: the roof restaurant where the guests may walk outside in the fresh air to enjoy 360° sight of Cologne, a glass of Champaign in the hand thinking how beautiful the city must have been before the war. AND THEN THE MOST IMPORTANT SURPRISE if you go to a restaurant: the dishes (we do not use the word food in this context) were all delicious and the service full of attention, young and very professional. Even the young gentleman, still learning, serving the excellent plateau de fromage, did an excellent job offering all the details of the cheese. Wine recommendations very reasonably priced and the wines good. Last but not least, the various greetings from the kitchen were all very tasty, good and genereous. An excellent place to eat. And your guests will always remember the day of this unforgettable delight. The restaurant has 1 Michelin star but deserve 2."

I can definitely recommend this place if you like the combination of panoramic view and fine dining.If the weather is nice you can even sit outside or maybe just for drinks before/after dinner?The service could have been better and friendlier but all in all I can definitely recommend it. Had lunch here with a client and enjoyed it. We needed somewhere quiet to talk & while the restaurant was busy we were able to converse well and discuss what was needed. Service was discreet. We both had the steak main course followed by fruit dessert, no alcohol.Would recommend, good value also.

We had a dinner for my husbands birthday. The restaurant is located in the last floor of an old water tower which is today a 5 star hotel. The views over Cologne are unbelievable...the restaurant itself misses in creativity, the food was good but not great, which makes then the price too high ( value for money).

Also goes under the name of Himmel un Ad. The views from the restaurant are spectacular, we only wished for better weather when we visited. We had the 6 course tasting menu which by the time we finished was more like 10. The food was amazing, everything you would expect, the service was also perfect. The presentation of each dish was unique and appetizing. Highly recommend for something a special. Ver carta

This place is close to the city centre but is a real oasis for relaxing over a leisurely meal or impressing your business colleagues. Sitting in the garden on a summer's evening is delightful - so quiet, so peaceful and so enjoyable! Service is understated, but always attentive and helpful. The menu includes a number of local delicacies and other dishes that are inventive and mouth-watering. The wine list, as you would expect, is also impressive. In terms of the overall experience, it is not cheap, but worth it if you're after something different and memorable. Top marks to the management team and the kitchen!

We hired the private dining room for a small company event and it turned out to be a perfect choice. The location is stunning, with stylish interior and a roof terrace with an amazing view. The weather was playing along so while we had the main courses inside, staff were happy to serve dessert outside on the terrace. The restaurant was living up to our high expectations (2 Michelin stars), with impeccable yet unintrusive service and modern European food beautifully presented. Feedback from our guests was unanimous: Everybody loved the location and was raving about the food. "In a 5-day stay in Cologne and as a lover of Indian cuisine, we had planned the Ginti. The visit took place on Monday to the beginning of noon. The reception was very friendly and cordial by the Lord of the House. The decor in Ginti is very modern, stylish, but also somewhat sterile and only very discreet supplements with Indian accessories. Young guests will probably find favors in the style of the institution. The place was still empty and so there was a chance to get a brief conversation with the mistress of the house. She brought us the menus, and there were Papadam with three from a culinary point of view pretty boring finished dives. We chose both a mango sauce as a drink that was thin and most likely prepared on the basis of a mango powder. Disgusting! I ordered as main dish Malai Kofta, vegetable balls in a mild curry sauce with ginger, garlic, almonds and coconut. This is not only one of my favorite Indian dishes, but it is also a dish that places higher requirements on a kitchen and therefore cannot be found in any Indian restaurant on the menu. In addition, quality and freshness can be well valued with this bowl. I ordered this dish with a higher sharpness, but not through the sauce, but ultimately through the vegetable balls themselves. The latter were produced excellently and their loose inner composition had the freshness of the preparation felt. This was undoubtedly a 5-star court. My accompaniment had opted for Tandoori King Prawn Masala, marinated royal cloves from Tandoor in a sauce with tomatoes, cashew nuts and raisins. This dish was also very tasty, rather mild and very generous in the number of shrimps. The rice was served unfavorably on an open bowl and had to measure any fragrance and aroma that could originate from cardamom capsules or spice cloves. After the main dishes were convinced, we were curious about the Indian ice cream, Kulfi. This came visually well over a carrot cut into slices, but could not be along tasteful. It was crystallized, little creamy and the aromas of the aforementioned mango powder were reappeared. Conclusion: a highly recommended Indian restaurant due to the excellent main dishes, but not yet matured in its culinary periphery. Therefore, provisionally three stars with an inclination to four."
