"on 26.07.17 my man and I returned to the churchkeeper for lunch. After we had ordered a tablet with 1 ball of fresh cheese, 2 half cocktail tomatoes and 6 thin paprika strips on the table, with a cut-out semmel. we were happy and thought it was a "great from the kitchen" when we paid, my man gave a generous drink. After we looked at the bill, this "gruß aus der koch" was calculated at €5.20. we find this as a tourist drop after the motto " the guests come only 1x." at the subsequent exact reading of the menu we found the "couvert is automatically served and calculated with 2.60 € per person".I would have another suggestion how to take the guests away. simply serve a marillen brand after eating. with 90% of the guests, you would have been sure to succeed because the least read the small print as in an insurance contract."

The restaurant's terrace is friendly, covered by vineyards and practically invites you to try the wachau wines and traditional products of the area.

We enjoyed a wonderful Sunday dinner in the church. The facilities, service and tariff were very nice. Traditional Austrian. The fried chicken was excellent and was worth the short walk from the highway. Reservation recommended

You can also pay in this locally a watch-out surcharge, but the donau surcharge does not apply because of the cozy terrace you donau not see. the local below the church is nevertheless highly recommended because the meals simply taste.

great restaurant directly on the bike path with views in the wine species from the lasy guest garden.Common kitchen, nice service, very good price-performance ratio with the best Marillenknödeln. We are looking forward to our next visit.

we visited the restaurant as guests of the same name, beautiful hotels. We were only satisfied with the service personnel. the rough, unsympathetic art and the unconsistencies between the service staff read the good eating something in the background....schade!!!

the shnitzel was good, the mixed salad consisted of a little potato salad, gurken, the outside leaves of the head salad, lollo, rucola and a hauch tomaten, perfumed with sweet balsamico! the floor of the garden restaurant looked like he had not been turned any more for a long time (used toothpickers, even in hot weather, something like this must not happen.

in the beige of a management meeting we visited the land exhibition in Pöggstall. All that is right -> great made.On the return trip we made in white churches at the church host. The coffee perfectly harmonized to the excellent marble steering noodles that were served in combination with a ball marilleneis in the shaded gas garden. The chefin greeted us personally and the waiter was very keen.

Stayed 3 nights...just wish we could have stayed longer. Some other reviews complain about the price...yes it is somewhat expensive but well worth it to us. Owners are very wonderful and made us feel welcome. The owner found us sitting on a ledge outside our room drinking a bottle of local wine...took us to the top of a hill on his golf cart. It overlooked the Danube, village and vinyards. Definately going back!!

"First, a bit of backstory: my wife and I were hiking (on our first ever visit to the Wachau) from Weissenkirchen towards Spitz through the vineyards and forest; not a tough walk but as it happened, very hot, sunny and tiring. After an hour or...so I started feeling strangely dizzy perhaps a consequence of another long hot hike the day before and decided to cut the walk short by heading down to Wosendorf. By the time we reached the village I could hardly stand without reeling, and we asked a passing couple if they knew of a cafe or bar nearby. They simply pointed out that we were right next to a very good restaurant (which we hadn’t noticed). So we went in, mainly in search of rest and some kind of sustenance, liquid and solid. We had not expected to spend 115 euros for a bite to eat on our walk, but we never regretted our visit to the Hofmeisterei Hirtzberger for one minute. Notwithstanding our sweaty hiking attire, sticks and rucksacks we were at once made welcome in the shady garden terrace by the very efficient and friendly staff, and soon found ourselves enjoying a superb lunch that relaxed and rehydrated me and helped us forget about my unfortunate brief crisis. I started with a delicious white tomato soup; given the heat, I expected something gazpacho like but it was warm and no less refreshing for all that. We then both went for a venison dish cooked in two different ways: one roasted to perfection with a lovely accompaniment of shiitake mushroom, pearl barley and peach, the other a kind of mini casserole as a side bowl. Wow! So rich! Then we shared a dark chocolate, raspberry and coconut dessert which made for a perfect finish. Two glasses of very superior Gruner Veltliner, an espresso, a couple of soft drinks and some lovely breads before the meal a really fine summer lunch which revived me completely under the circumstances but which I’d have been exceptionally pleased with anyway. The garden is by a main ish road though not so you’d notice much. This is not a place for cheap eats, but for very fine food and wine it is wholly reasonable. We agreed we may never have had a finer venison main, and my soup was special. Wholly recommended, even though it doesn’t seem to appear in the local tourist leaflets. Is that because it’s not in one of the more touristy villages? Or because (despite using great local produce) it’s a little ‘adventurous’? Who cares? Check it out if you can..."
