"recently arrived on chin and gourmet of Asian cuisine I make one at one the restaurants viet Chinois jap combodgiens thaï from the surrounding area. a look at trip and I see the excellent notes of the phnom penh (the only chin I haven't tasted yet). I book and here I am with a phnom penh with a friend of mine who is also a connoisseur. Old-fashioned dining room that makes it more of a French restaurant of the 1970s than a Cambodian, the reception is courteous. I sat down and there first stupefaction: plastic chopsticks placed on a porcelain holder and ? Guy degrenne covers near my plate style townroy and boch. I'm checking the room and not an Asian what's often bad presage. a little trick on the map and new disappointment. While the restaurant is indicated Cambodian Chinese on the front, there are almost no Cambodian dishes and Chinese dishes for French as seen in all the false Chinese restaurants. two three dishes (bo loc lac, bo bun cha gio, banh xeo) marked in French history of or renamed to the Cambodian adjective. I order a steam assortment (dim sun) that for the 10.50 price is ridiculous, the Sun dim have nothing extraordinary and in addition served with nuoc mam?! In 30 years of asian cuisine never seen sun dim at mam nuoc, it's infect so I asked for soy sauce (minimum). And there the waiter doesn't even give me a cup to pour the soy and soak my steamers, so I pour directly from the bottle that makes go back into my hands and that of my trusting buddy took the same thing as me. The galery. follow a Cambodian crêpes (in fact a Vietnamese xeo banh) that makes half the size of the xeo banh served elsewhere in the hexagon. Normally the banh xeo eats cut and rolled in salad leaves, all soaked like nems in the mam nuoc. nothing a miserable little lettuce leaf with three mint petals. I listen to and interlocute me when the server explains to my friends served in the first how to eat it (my crêpe will arrive 5min later). blew up quickly despite being too fat, this crêpe still does not fill my stomach, at 13,50€, it would have been the minimum. a normal crêpe is worth 10€ in the best bets. we're still finished and... we recommend a portion of nem each. The nems are coming, good but not more than that. fun, I almost finished the nems and the waitress arrive at our table with plates and covered clean poir the nems I laugh and tell him that for nems it is useless. and yes mr, the nems eat with the fingers. disappointed but players we take a look at the desserts card: only two really asiate desserts, an old and a Cambodian (if the latter is not finally a usurpator), I even note the presence of the soufflé grand marnier (I didn't know it was sino-cambodgien n lol mdr xptdr). a fast always sorbet mango with three from mango so small and the addition arrives. 100€ ??!!! to two. ...I'm going home and I'm eating two packs of bjorg clasho hazel cookies. I'm not hungry. morality of history: the phnom penh is a restaurant dear to people who don't know Asian cuisine and who eat like French monks with degren but plastic baguettes. disappointing and spiteful. but the average age of the clientele was around 60 years old, the little tap on the shoulder and the satisfied hand wrist can be this clientele but not us. There are many better addresses on chin and I'm surprised that this restaurant has been in place for 27 years...Ah yes I forgot. Drinking a glass-free tsing tao is good for street food, but not when you put a degren next to the plate. note: 5/20 null."

The boss is smiling and welcomes us with kindness in his humble restaurant. In our plates it is good, simple, there is taste, good flavors. We had dinner and had a good time.

At the suggestion of friends, we wanted to try the phnom pen and the experience was really nice. from the outside, the location and the sign are not very welcoming. but inside, the place is small, but nice, the tables are few and the service is so fast. The kitchen is really good, while the prices are medium on the coast of azure.

We finally went to eat at the phnom pehn. As a mentonnaise, it's been years since I heard that it was Menton/RCM's best Chinese restaurant, but I've never been there before because of the location (good courage to park by car in the neighborhood). It was good, but we found nothing exceptional. It was expected to be much better after all the praises we had heard.Personally, I find it as good as the chin chine villa and less good than the roquebrune bonzai Cape Martin. Moreover there is no vegetarian dish.

"the location was attractive. a small picturesque square slightly in draw with a foliage and Mediterranean charm. the restaurant had an outdoor terrace but we decided to eat inside. rustic decoration well maintained. abundance of natural stones and plaster walls of rustic color, nice vaulted type ceiling and terracotta tile floor. We loved him. the kitchen was visible on the path of the toilet and everything seemed chief, busy and good omen. Unfortunately, it's the end of the good news. My wife chose to start with the anchovies leaf and I am the raw ham. The anchovie was not good. Very strange flavor. Too salty. hard dough background. My ham was cut too thick, making the meal difficult. I had to ask for olive oil and gem salt. certainly not the best ham I've had. no comparison with parma or iberico. disappointing. the main dishes were the fish pot and the spaghetti with ceps. Both were a disaster. The fish were cut off. filled with small but important bones. the two rather sad gambas were small and boiled to death. the portion of fish and the quality at the price were bad. Maybe the bisque was swept. The pasta was not good and we left them. we paid 72 euros for this and a very small glass of medium wine and a bottle of flat water. I think chin food is usually not good. French are rather complacent and seem to believe that their historical reputation is enough. Not if. the area is very frequented by tourists and I guess most are unlikely to return to the area, so they think they can get away with it. It's a shame and I couldn't recommend this restaurant. we visit the family regularly to chin, so we would like to find a decent restaurant at a reasonable price. even our family seems to have a bad time. Why? It's the france."

"Casarella used to be a Corsican restaurant. It is located in the old Roquebrune village and is a quiet and nice location, although not accessible by car.It has been sold a few months ago, and has reincarnated itself in an Italian restaurant, more precisely Neapolitan.I decided to give it a try after a friend's advice.Being an Italian, I am often wary of Italian restaurants abroad, but I went along and gave it a try. What I found was a typical Neapolitan menu, with the addition of a few other Italian classics (carbonara, pesto). We tried several things and were surprised by the quality. The pasta was impeccably cooked, the sauces were made with the best Neapolitan tomatoes, the grilled mozzarella was fresh.Even the carbonara, although not a Neapolitan dish, was faultless. We then carried on trying the meatballs (polpette), and found them to be exquisite. We then tried a Pastiera Napoletana which is a difficult dessert to prepare, and one of my favorites. It was perfectly executed. We were then offered a limoncello (lemon based sweet liquor) and found it thick enough to be the real thing, and not a usual washed out imitation.Prices were more than reasonable and quality and service were faultless. The wine list was quite correct and the wines are listed at reasonable prices.Congratulations to the chef and the team for what they did. It is not easy to open a restaurant in a medieval village: cars cannot access it, it is difficult to carry groceries and to receive deliveries. They were courageous to open in such a location, and in my book, they deserve the praise."
