"the restaurant river view in the rilano hotel hamburg we visited some paints and we are always very happy here. the reception and the service were again very nice. the selection on the menu was really manageable (mini). the appetizer wild herbal salad made the name all venerable: all wildly confused. but it has tasted very well until on olive wort. the ordered main dishes maish-cheek and zanderfilet can not be made better after our opinion. we were very happy. as a small drop of worms: it was a bit disturbing for our entertainment that the waiters in the gas room were always really very loud with crooked and brittle flappers. we looked down and down. but that didn't bother anyone. I would recommend to point out. he should feel comfortable with them."

it was a cozy atmosphere only halls a little, as there is no spatial separation to the foyer. the food was great and the service superb. Ver carta

poor service, unfriendly, little customer-oriented, you are almost already in the form of a bite. promised service time of 30 min (midday lunch) has not been complied with.

eat qualitatiw very high quality and the service was also very good and attentive. negatiw was, however, that various foods and drinks were not in stock. basically not bad, but for a restaurant of this class or in this price level this should not happen from my own

all 5 guests have ordered scholle finkenwerder art. that was a big mistake! the kartoffels tasted old, warmed up and just bad. they had already formed an invisible, but perceptible dish. the fish was dry and had no taste similarity with the original recipe. never again and now really final I will eat with them in the restaurant. not alone and certainly not with business partners or even friends. Ver carta

in front: we have eaten well. the desired window table was on a wall; nothing to see from the elbe. I had asked because it was important to me. after we already in the kuchenbar ca. 15 minutes (in vain) had waited for the service (we would like to enjoy coffee and cake after our departure), this continued to dinner. my man ordered at three different waiter beer, but his complete lead was without drinking. but eating was good.

reserved online in the evening. the restaurant was closed and the staff of the bar had to be contacted. there was a reservation for the bar area. speisen: essentially fastfood, a course selection from the daymenu was good, which corresponded to a greeting of the kitchen and was therefore overpriced. the restaurant was completely covered, in the afternoon hall you celebrated high time. I think it was for a midnight snack. when I left, I then expressed my unmistakableness at the reception, there it was said that the restaurant had to be closed from unforeseen diseases. I can't believe it. You knew that in the evening.

"There's always a question (in my mind, anyway) as to Michelin's accuracy/usefulness outside of France. In the US, it's not very helpful at all and in Europe ex-France, I've found it hit and miss. Haerlin represented only my second stab at a two-star in Germany and the first meal (Heinz Winkler), while a thoroughly wonderful overall experience, felt like the second star might have been a stretch. Not so at Haerlin, this was a two-star meal that stands fork-to-fork with any I can remember. The food is stylized to within an inch of its life, but close to flawless in both conception and execution. Outside of a large selection of generally unremarkable breads and a luke-warm roasted onion broth added to an amuse at table side that probably should have been hotter, the meal was simply one perfect dish after another. Maybe the sorbet intermezzo was a little old school in such a fashion forward meal, but - hey - it was delicious! Keep it.The room is suitably formal, luxurious in a traditional style, and quite comfortable. The pace of service might be a little leisurely for some (I ate alone and the four-course menu (seven + courses, including amuses, etc) pushed it a bit, stretching just over three hours. However, the friendly and attentive staff kept an eye out the entire time and stopped by if the time between courses presented the opportunity. The somm, in particular, was a great diversion, visiting from time to time to discuss the varied and interesting wines on offer. He provided useful insight into the outstanding selection of trocken Rieslings on the list. He guided me to a 2001 Burklin-Wolf GG that, at Eu 150, was both a great bottle of mature white and a tremendous value for a wine of this quality in this type of restaurant. (Good luck finding a white burgundy of this quality at this price at any multi-star restaurant - or at retail, for that matter.) He also suggested a wonderful German Pinot Noir by the glass that worked perfectly with the meat course and wasn't terribly expensive. The list is extensive, but not the tome you see at some restaurants, but don't be fooled - wine service at Haerlin is both a major plus and represents notable value in the context of multi-star restaurants.I'm not going to argue two-star vs three-star because that distinction often seems to be kind of mysterious (and tangentially related to the food), but I will say that this place certainly deserves two stars. I had just a flat-out great meal. If you can work in a visit, Haerlin should be high on your list."
