this restaurant is really great from ambiente and our expectations were great! unfortunately we would be disappointed...Essen - fish oversalted - gans dry! service - (on the top to bad eating) smile was a strange word all seemed lustless. we were four and have felt uniform: here is not a king, but only an annoying evil!

Wir waren am 6.6.14 im Grunde durch einen Zufall im PUNKER. Die Klassiker der Karte Kalbsfrikadellen und Tafelspitz waren geschmacklich außergewöhnlich lecker, mit feiner österreichischer Note. Auch Bedienung und Ambiente liegen im Spitzenbereich. Besonders der leicht österreichisch hochnäsige, aber dennoch extrem kinderfreundliche und zuvorkommende Kellner bleibt in Erinnerung.

' The food was absolutely excellent, first class Hamburg Shrimp Soup then Coq Au Vin. Nice Italian wine, great coffee. All good value for money. very beautiful location, invites you to stay and great eating. good, modern home cooking - classic old dishes unrivalled modernized. the roastbeef was fantastic, as well as the salad, since the dressing is very delicious. also the crab soup, the scampi or the liver were good. actually, everything was good. the green cabbage could have been more spicy and the curry sausage was very fruity and it was lacking soss, that would be the only critique.

the food is excellent and a great mix of home cooking and light kitchen. the ambiente is wonderful. the service actually also good. Unfortunately, we were sold out as almost last guests on a Tuesday at 22:00 a.m. by extremely loud cutlery flappers from the bar area and kitchen scrubbing sounds. we would have liked to have ordered another round.The wish for rest was not fulfilled. so we had to talk on the road. pity, in eppendorf, otherwise the bordstones are not folded up. the restaurant is off to its happiness and offers everything a South German seeks when he wants to go to hamburg for the first time: harmonious ambiente, attentive charming operation, local beer, selected good weine (unfortunately somewhat overpriced: 0.15 (!!!) riesling or veltliner for € 4.30 is already violent). and above all: through excellent eating, everything freshly prepared and beautifully dressed; especially well have tasted us crab soup and panfish. next visit to hamburg we will come back!

As in France, here is a good bistro or a brasserie of the punkers. The base is floor-based kitchen, with a part of the sophistication, but never in l'art pour l'art – the focus is on product quality. This time we ordered the three-course menu – twice with fishbouillon, twice with Baltic salmon with fennel. With the salmon, it meant the kitchen well with us, probably because there was little on this warm Sunday noon. The crowning was the ox fillet: a wonderful piece of meat that was staged with roast potatoes and badly poppy. Everyone bites a poem. My dessert from strawberries, Rhabarb and Nougateis matched the weather.

So ähnlich wie in Frankreich ein gutes Bistro oder eine Brasserie ist hier bei uns das Punker. Basis ist bodenständige Küche, dazu eine Portion Raffinesse, die aber niemals in l'art pour l'art ausartet – im Mittelpunkt steht die Produktqualität. Wir haben diesmal das dreigängige Menü bestellt – zweimal mit Fischbouillon, zweimal mit Ostseelachs mit Fenchel. Bei den Lachsportionen hat es die Küche gut mit uns gemeint, vermutlich weil an diesem warmen Sonntag Mittag wenig los war. Die Krönung war aber das Ochsenfilet: ein wunderbares Stück Fleisch, das mit Bratkartoffeln und Böselbohnen schlicht aber wirkunsgvoll inszeniert wurde. Jeder Bissen ein Gedicht.
