"Far from the hustle and bustle lies this beautiful inn. Today on October 23 you could sit outside. Food not only 08/15 but also dishes on the map that are not found so often. We once ordered cauliflowers with cheese and Hollandaise baked, with salt potatoes and salad from the buffet and the second food lentils with homemade latency and sausages. Both totally delicious and inexpensive. Attention friendly service - could not have been better"

"This restaurant is about 100m down the hill from our Pension. We walked in an were greeted by a waitress in traditional dress. We were shown to our tables and when they realised we were English gave us a comprehensive menu in English (not the complete menu though). We were given a salad starter accompanied with bread and herb butter. Which was a bonus as we only ordered a main course. We both chose a Venison main dish both were delicious. My venison was served in a rich gravy with spätzle and cranberry sauce. My husband had venison with potato hazelnut dumplings in a sauce. Hubby had house red and I had a medium sweet white. Both were good quality. Nice atmosphere. Good was well presented and full of taste. We shared a dessert of walnut ice cream in a liqueur which finished the meal off a treat. With tip the meal came to €70 which we thought was reasonable for this quality of dining. A very enjoyable meal. Would recommend this restaurant."

"Ein sehr idyllisch gelegenes uriges Restaurant im Schwarzwald. Wir waren jetzt das zweite mal dort, uns hat es sehr gut gefallen. Der Service war sehr schnell und alles wurde zu unserer Zufriedenheit erledigt. Das bestellte essen war absolut top. Die Schnitzel zart und der Salat schmackhaft. Gibt an der Stelle garnichts zu meckern. Preis Leistung sind absolut top. Wir gehen sicher wieder hin"

"We arrived at what looks like a nice place to enjoy a drink and stare out into the beautiful lake and surroundings. We arrived just before 6 on a Saturday which is the evening opening time. Sitting outside, we were "greeted" by a waitress that just asked for our order and disappeared inside. The drinks eventually come but no menu, no questions whether we wanted to eat. So we decided to go inside and ask for a table. The waitress proceeded to make it difficult without a reservation but managed to find us a table. The inside decoration has a chalet feel which is nice and cozy. However when the menu came, we were surprised by the prices. Assuming the food would be excellent as per the 4* rating and the prices, we really looked forward to our dinner. However we were disappointed with what arrived. The portions were very small. My rabbit was dry and my partner's pork was still uncooked. We received our meals before the wine arrived and when it did, it was kept at a distance (held at the cash register). Needless to say we were disappointed with our experience of what is sold as a very high level restaurant at high prices."

"Zunächst zu den positiven Aspekten:- Sitzgelegenheiten im Freien - solides Essen- angemessene Preise- Portionsgrösse auch für Leute mit gutem Appetit geeignetNegativ:- lange Wartezeiten beim Service- Steht der Schweinskrustenbraten auf der Karte, dann erwartet man als Gast einen Braten mit einer Kruste. Wenn die nicht gelungen ist, was passieren kann, dann kann man den Gast zumindest informieren oder ihm eine Alternative anbieten. Auf Nachfrage beim Service wurde die Kruste serviert, die nicht gelungen war und deshalb beim ersten Mal nicht rausging. Beim Abräumen fragte der Kellner, ob wir zufrieden gewesen wären. Meine Begleitung sagte, dass sie sich sehr auf den Braten gefreut hatte und daher nicht 100% zufrieden sei. Der Kellner versprach als Entschädigung einen Espresso, der auch serviert wurde. Bald darauf informierte er uns jedoch, dass seine Kollegin den Espresso nicht genehmigen würde und wir den bezahlen müssten. Ansonsten bot er uns den Umweg über den Geschäftsführer an. Da er sich mit der Aktion um sein eigenes Trinkgeld gebracht hatte, haben wir von dem Vorschlag abgesehen.Lieber Geschäftsführer, bitte den Service besser instruieren, dann gibt es auch wieder Trinkgeld. Die schlechte Bewertung mag hart erscheinen, aber wir haben uns leider sehr veralbert gefühlt. Dennoch gehe ich davon aus und hoffe, dass das ein Einzelfall war."
