Ring of Bells - Carta

No cash, no standing at the bar and shown to a table from the front door. A prime position so no need to be traditional another lost soul of a ‘pub’ A great soulless money maker now, a shame.

Strange bar masquerading as a restaurant. There is a person stationed at the front entrance. They do not accept cash and the atmosphere is not very inviting. It seems unsure of its identity, but it likely thrives more as a restaurant.

We recently had our Christmas lunch with a party of 14 at this restaurant. They were very accommodating, especially after another place proved to be very unhelpful. The menu was great and reasonably priced, and the food was delicious. The staff were lovely as well. We had a fantastic time and are hoping to book again for next year. Ver carta

We stopped off in Taunton on our way home from Cornwall. The ring o Belles is in the heart of the independent shops in Taunton. What a find! The service was excellent as was the food. The pub is immaculate and you could tell that so much care and attention has gone into making the Ring o Bells a really lovely pub. The only downfall for us is it is not on our doorstep!

Brilliant food, great service, lovely atmosphere. Visited for my wife’s birthday with our 2 children and 2 dogs. Staff were brilliant, chatty with the children, looked after us superbly. Food came all together in good time and tasted fantastic. The pub does not look much from the outside but once inside you could easily be in a stunning country pub in the middle of nowhere, warm, cosy, and comfortable.

Went on Sunday when got there it was very busy so sat out the back in the bar garden it was so relaxing and quite when we got there. The staff was great got the dog some water and was very happy to help you , Food was great I had a child one what was more then plenty for me ,I was all hot and really good . The pudding passionfruit and honeycomb fittarta was well you need to go and try that if nothing else. I really high quality. DOG FRIENDLY. 10/10 . WILL GO AGAIN . Ver carta

The day after my wedding I decided to get my close relatives and friends that traveled from so far to have a more intimate dinner before everyone started travelling home. We were a big group of 22 people and food was preordered to make things smoother for the kitchen. The restaurant was all ready for us when we arrived and food came out on time and was absolutely delicious, everyone was very happy with the atmosphere, staff were friendly and efficient, a great selection of drinks, the pub is very well looked after and the owner Matt was welcoming as always.

Popped in on the off after searching for dog friendly pubs, and what a fantastic find, excellent welcome, even though we hadn't booked,and the pub was busy, the guy on the front door soon found us a table, and we settled into the marquee area, we settle on a mezze starter to share, then my wife chose the belly pork, and I chose the lamb rump, and I've got to say all the food was absolutely delicious, starter was tasty and light,the pork was cooked to perfection and my lamb was absolutely stunning, we have been lucky enough to eat at some excellent restaurants in the past, but this has to be the best food we have had anywhere so far, simple food cooked very well, what more could you possibly...

It’s been difficult for pubs that are not chains to get through the other side since Covid, this little gem in the heart of Taunton town has done just that. It’s because of the steadfast commitment and passion of the owner along with his team who have worked hard and succeeded to provide customers with great local produce, thoughtfully prepared dishes and good service. It is only because of this that this lovely bistro pub is always buzzy with a lovely atmosphere and on the occasions I have visited the food has been delicious, exciting and service always great. I brought along family from London on this occasion who are extremely hard to please having been other places and been disappointed,... Ver carta
