The ambience in the winter garden is very beautiful, the view over Bamberg also breathtaking at night. The food and the wines were excellent, also very beautifully dressed. The service was really Italian and humorous, very professional, friendly and fast. Again!

because of a business dinner I came to this Italian restaurant. super tasty house wine (red) was recommended to me. for the little starving there were fresh roasted beef carpaccio with mushrooms. wonderfully delicious and the oysters in super quality. perfectly served. in beautiful weather there is a great view of the city of Bamberg. price for quality and taste top.Make more so.

the francesco am michelsberg is really an exceptional restaurant. in the summer they can sit nicely in the beer garden and take the delicious food. in winter, or some colder days you can comfortably sit in winter garden and look over the city bamberg. it is especially nice to see when it is dark and all lights shine in the city. the service is super, which eat very well. only negatiw it is very expensive, in turn appropriate. so to a special occasion is a visit at each event highly recommended. not forget to book in advance! always very well visited! Went for lunch with my wife, two young teenagers and our Cousin from Italy who now lives in Germany. He had never been there before but as an Italian who loves food he was really impressed with this restaurant. The patio, surroundings and view were...simply magnificent in their own but the food made it absolutely sublime. I had beef carpaccio and a warm vegetable antipasto platter and the kids had gnocchi made simply with butter and Parmesan cheese. All the dishes were delicious. My cousin had a seafood salad with lobster, shrimp and fish which he said was outstanding. This a real hidden gem and I wouldn't miss it if I had the chance to return. Grazie!

I lived in Bamberg and anyone said I had to go to Francesco, so I had a date there... well... I though it was an high quality, well dressed Italian restaurant. As I went there I was overdressed and the service under-dressed, with sneakers (I...don 't expect sneakers in an elegant restaurant! , the waitress unkind and the waiter McDonald style. Food was in the average, noting exceptionally that I had expected from a restaurant so well known. Dishes where dirty and the famous panoramic view over Bamberg ... well in Bamberg there are much better places to watch the panorama. I don 't suggest Da Francesco and I definitely won 't go there again. Maybe I had too high expectation, but also without...

I was a musician at a wedding that took place with Francesco. When there were no questions, I asked my stuff and asked for a cable drum. “Mr Francesco” gave me one and instructed me to put the cable behind a bar ...I took me like 2 seconds longer to understand what he meant, but he was very rude for me and literally said to me, “That’s why it’s not good to work with women.” Said that his expression was so serious and disgusting and after some time (I was really shocked) I told him what you just said was not nice.
