Relaxed dining this is, food was excellent and the staff were attentive and knowledgable. would definitely recommend this restaurant as a special place to go

The restaurant at the hotel provided exceptional treatment. It is typically reserved for special events, but I believe it would thrive if it were open to the public for regular dining.

The restaurant has a lovely ambiance, but the bold carpets are not to my liking. The food is delicious, but it may be a bit pricey considering it is traditional cuisine. The service was outstanding, and the staff was incredibly welcoming.

From being met at the door to leaving we were made to feel special but in a friendly pleasant way not overbearing. Restaurant is upmarket which suits the venue admirably. Dining room is plain but classy, glass top tables, white linen cloth and napkins, white crockery. Had three courses : veloute, pork, textures of pear. All food locally sourced. Service excellent and all dishes explained.

This is a fascinating setting at a hotel within the now restored old hospital at Port Sunlight. We had lunch on a Friday. There was a wide range of options available despite the restaurant being very quiet. We had a variety of small tasting dishes which were very well presented and served tapas style. There was a good range of interesting wines available by the glass more than is usually the case. Service was very good. Worth a trip out both for the restaurant itself and for the surroundings.

Seriously tucked away in Port Sunlight village, once we found it, we were impressed from start to finish. The welcome was warm, with several bar areas offered where we could take a pre-dinner drink. The dining room itself was simple and atmospheric, and the only real complaint we would have about the ambience was the mismatch between the elegant menu, staff and setting and the bizarre choice of R+B soundtrack! The wine menu was enormous, with the unusual bonus that any could be ordered by the glass, with upgrades offered at no extra cost to bottles already open for other customers.
