"a tiny restaurant in the cold boxes near the river, we did not know what to expect when we arrived at the root for the new year eve, but it turned out to be one of the best meal I ever had! the personal was brilliant, highlighting the vegan options on the menu and recommend ordering dishes and drinks for us while always after relaxed and friendly. we had a nice vegan note to drink and decided to try to eat almost all vegan dishes (they recommend to choose 2-3 dishes per person and then share them as tapas.) the beetroot, brombeere and hazelnut mix blow my mind! all dishes were fantastic in taste and also really kreatiw. the strawberry and basilikumsorbet was completed. at £7-9 per small dish it is not cheap-cheap (we spent about £100 for the 2 of us, including drinks), but I would say it is quite reasonable for the level of skill with which the food was done. the whole location and atmosphere were really nice and it was a really wonderful evening. would definitely be for a special night."

Another spot we visited on a trip to Bristol to celebrate a birthday. We chose 6 plates of the vegan choices and some vegan wine. Great place within the Cargo box park.

the most amazing culinary experience! one must create in bristol. beautiful tasting, locally produced, seasonal products, so delicious dishes. sat with some heavy carnivores who found this experience very eye opening, how beautiful plant meal times with a side of fish really are. I would advise to try as many of the dishes as possible all as delicious

root is a small and cozy restaurant located in bristol, in quirky transport containers. the menu is usually vegetarian to share with a lot of tapas style dishes. the cocktails are beautiful and fresh, perfect for the hot summer. all dishes were delicious with fresh products and interesting aromes. personal favorit is the tempura earlylingszwiebeln. the personal is friendly, efficient and smiling. overall very nice experience, recommended! I can recall the sentiments expressed in previous reviews and confidently say that the team at Root truly excels in vegan cuisine. Yesterday was our first visit, but I hope it won’t be our last. After informing the front-of-house staff that we were interested in one of the fully vegan options, we were treated to a delightful array of dishes. The highlights included the Jerusalem artichokes, cauliflower, and kohlrabi crepes. I give it a 10/10!

I enjoyed a fantastic meal at Root, a restaurant that offers small plates centered around sweetness. Most of the menu is vegan or can be made vegan. My partner and I shared five dishes along with some bread, and everything was absolutely delicious—more filling than we had anticipated. My favorite dish was the Early Dawn Tweebel Tempura, although I’ve heard they frequently change their menu. The chocolate ganache dessert was also incredible. The staff was wonderful, and while it isn't the most affordable option, it’s a great choice for a delicious special occasion. We will definitely be back!
