Excellent English restaurant in the Lude. We had fun with the fish and chips and a burger. Homemade, generous portions, and for very affordable rates! Reservation to be made on the restaurant site directly. Owner and waitress very friendly and welcoming.

Finally real fish carvings, ie fish cooked in dough at a very reasonable price, also knickerbocker fame as dessert and do not treat surprisingly as in the possession of English people. English beer too. Efficient service (the waitress is bilingual). Clean. You can eat. Open for lunch and dinner. Easy to park. Better to book.

The Rose and Crown comes as a surprise in the heart of the small town of La Lude. The food here is excellent. We were there for lunch. The English hostess, Lulu, is charming and very welcoming. She speaks fluent French. Some nice beers on...tap and wines to accompany your food followed by really hot coffee. This is a highly recommended place to eat with indoor and outside seating. The Lude Château is nearby which is well worth visiting.

Now in new property, but with the same superb management! Welcome is always warm and bilingual, so everyone feels at home. Food has reached a new high excellence. The new owner finances both the renovation and the expansion that the existing... Dining area significantly enlarged and bar room for typical barracks added. I like the fish and chips that are undoubtedly the best in the area and are best available in British coastal areas. My wife had the excellent ribs but needed a bag to bring half of the home I enjoyed the next day.
